thanks swift for the info.

However, I found out that fitting kit for TDM does not exist...

So gettin a new pair for that price plus I have to fabricate fitting kit does not justify the cost.

Nevertheless, I will still check it out when I'm free.

Yappiz,

Actually there are krausers panniers for sale, not our old fashion block looking thing, but rather look kinda like the H&Bs wif a differnce in the shape n of cos the big Krausers splashed over it.

Racks are generic so it will require the mechanics to help install it. I think if the H&Bs can b installed in it, i dun see why not the krausers.

Go check it out at the basement of motoworld. Pricewise i cant help much as i didnt enquire(dun need it ask 4 wat)...:cheeky: :cheeky:

Yappiez,

Go for the H&B and give the Krauser a miss. Pricewise, they are comparable. The advantage of H&B is, they have specific racks and mounts for your TDM. In my opinion, H&B seems to be tougher built than Krausers. It could be just my perception.................

Actually I find them very similar in quality. Hepco is leading with the designs but Krauser is catching up with K4s and K5s... They look even more alike now.

As for me, I just find the K2s 30L attractive and functional enough for my needs. Anything bigger will be too troublesome as I am too impatient to wait like a car in traffic..

I am trying to source for them overseas then fabricate fittings for them.. Roughly will cost about S$500- 600... No way I can get Hepco with these prices.....

Btw, does Hepco comes with other colours like red/white cos I saw Krausers in that combination.. really cool!!!

Regarding the fine cracking lines on your previous skidmarx windscreen, has it ever occurred to you that it might be due to the self-cut air gap in the middle causing the plastic molecules to break up?Just a guess cos I'm not a very scientific and mechanical person.

Hi Casper,

About the skidmarz problem can cause by many other factors!! To my knowledge stress on the screen- is the main caused.

The micro cracks lines and bubbles, it is not excately near the cut gap those crack lines occurred other places more, then slowly spread out. If you park your bike under sun most of the time, can have the same effects...screen quality, shelf life, shipment ,manufacturing time also can be other causes...

I would like something lower then skidmarz slightly higher then the OEM thats all - I find givi is just nice for me...!

My opinion!!

Behind skidmarz looks nice but warm...your helmet have another ten holes also not enough...the wind is just push over your helmet...

Thats the reason why!! when you guys getting any (types, brands) screens- get that just up to your chin level -you have better view of the road and your head feel cool.... this is my suggestion to you buggers!!! thing about it!

I'm consolidating to see if there are enough interested parties for Eagle windscreen. If it's promising, then I can nego. with Eagle again. For those who do not know how does that look like, pls refer to the previous thread. It's just a few pages away.

The cost quoted by Eagle is Aus$110 + Aus$36.50. Postage is subjected to change because the parcel will weigh between 1.25kg to 1.75kg, depending on how tall u want your windscreen to be. Postage will also increase by Aus$4.50 per 500grams if more than 1 windscreen is ordered.

Cut-off date: Wed, 11-05-2005. Interested party pls make measurement over the weekend.

Name (Extra length of height required in mm), color

1. Sun (280mm), slightly tinted

2. Custom (TBA)

Custom, I forgot 1 thing, the color.

Kevin, how? Still wanna order?

Anyone else?

Yappiez,

Exactly my sentiments. Why go for the dated look when you can have a newer and trick looking panniers for your bike?

kekekee.. i must say i have some weird cartoonish taste....

actually i am considering side panniers that will still allow me to squeeze traffic smoothly.

I think the only available are the Givi 21L and maybe this Krauser 30L ones. To choose between Givi and Krauser, I definitely go for the K's! The rest of the other panniers are a little on the fat side not forgettin the money I have to spent.. (Hepco, Yamaha panniers..)

Hey Yappiez,

I think you are looking for those panniers that are practical (able take a good load at the same time squeeze thru traffics) and not too common on the road (stand out from the rest)-right!

Sun, u need to specify the total length of the screen is (415 + 280)mm for u & me.

PLease try to be very precise with them, before there is any mis-communication or mis-understanding over the deal.

So is custom eagle screen to be +120mm or same height as the OEM screen, 415mm?

Anyone else?

The TP picture above prompt me to think.....

If they are still using Krauser K2 panniers, they probably have a source to get all the spare parts... Anyone knows where is this place and if it will supply the parts to the general public?

Or anyone knows who I should talk to, to find out more information?

Maybe I'll stop by a TP on duty and ask him....

Yappiez,

Heard of Hong Leong? Well, that is where they get all their stuff, panniers included. The only ppl aside from them that also have panniers by Krauser are Motoworld and Looi's Motor. They only have whole setup, not spare parts to the panniers. We have amongst us a chap who has a defective locking mechanism in his panniers that has not been replaced because there is no one carrying spares for the Krauser system.

Again............go for the Hepco & Becker.

Hi Guys,

Today I just drop by at chap lee after work-to check anythings pop in lately?(new products)... Nope! nothing new- clover new stocks shipment will be arriving at the end of this month.

I was trying out some gloves and there was this glove-First racing-(model: dual) a soft glove with the paddings and carbon fibre knuckles it is light and very comfortable, no leathers...its a mix of materials combination...I can feel/sense with the gloves on, it is up to wrist only, washable...(short black glove)..After I put on I was surprised that It felt like not wearing the gloves at all..wow!(reminds me of something comes in a small seal packs- he,he,heee...!)

I would recommend this gloves to Casperxxx who have problems with gloves (always have no feeling).

Those who like to have an extra pair...please go and try out-First racing-(model: dual) if can be found in other places/motortiam try out! chap lee recommeded price was $75...have not bargain yet.!

It is very good for local use...! (I might get one soon)
