Basically I already found something a ride which I'm satisfied.. Its from a motorshop in the AV area.

Got this Bajaj Pulsar FBB plate.. Mileage 26K.. Going off for only $2K.. Went down with a friend who is knowledgeable in such stuffs... After accessing the bike he says its actually a good buy. Actually agreed upon to pay full cash for it and can actually collect bike on this Fri 27th Mar..

I was once a car salesman and this realli surprises me.. I din noe that insurance and road tax and transfer fee can be done in 1 day.. So I was thinking is there a fraud somewhere here.. Though excited yet feeling a little nervous and worrying.. I hope everything will goes on smoothly..

Check e bike got accident b4, look out for scratches and paintworks.

See got leak EO around gasket area, loose chain, pointed teeth spocket, tires, weak battery...

start e bike n hear if there's any 'funny' sound.

If possible, ride e bike around for test drive.

If you do it yourself, you can get insurance, road tax and ownership transfer done in two hours.

As a previous car salesman, you should know better.

Errm for car sales realli very different.. There is no such thing as 2 hours encountered from my experience.. New car requires about minimum 2 weeks to collect car... Used car also requires minimum 1-2 weeks... Different customers have a different insurance profile.. Not like bike.. Yesterday my case was juz filled up the form nia sign n go n wait... For motorcars there is actually "pending" by the insurance company to see if you are "up" to their criterias... Transfer fees also take few working days.. I donno how motorbikes do.. But for car showroom.. For the admin side to fax over to LTA and to wait for LTA to fax back can take a great deal...

Too bad yesterday I go, it was raining freaking Kittens n puppies.. So never realli do a test ride.. Watsmore the petrol level totally nill liao.. But according to my friend who is a pro here, he says by looking at the engine itself,, and hearing the engine sound,,, it seems too good to b true for this deal.. So we were discussing over dinner about how come this deal so good.. Cos the actual scenerio was the worker from the shop quoted $3800 on the road.. But another fellow who is more senior quoted $2000 on the road.. So we thought its like quite a contradicting shop though lol... Anyway from my friend he says it could b the previous owner got no $$ to pay for bike,, so bike shop pull back the ride... And maybe the instalment is still left like about 1K,,, by quoting 2K to me they earn back and dats it..

I'll elaborate. I meant "Do it yourself", meaning getting the Insurance and transfer done yourself, in person.

My experience with purchasing cars and motorcycles is, the biggest delay is the dealer itself. Like you said, "the admin side". Insurance companies usually come up with quotes in minutes, if you bother to turn up at their office.

My friend took 16 hours from deposit paid to driving the car home. Insurance company issued a cover note, car paid in cash, transfer done next day. No problems. :)

Enjoy your ride! Remember to check the engine oil level.

You're right! Car dealers want to control the insurance, want to control the financing, but then most of them aren't tops in administrative efficiency when it comes to these because of the way the delivery is done.

Take the insurance and financing away from the dealer's control, or if your dealer has very good arrangements with its partners, then it can be delivered very fast.

He who hesitates is lost!
