was your termi sticker still on the pipe? that would be a dead give away that the pipe is not stock...

Fyi, I pass inspection twice already with my termi on. Not carbon tho. Both times I just told them its original.

Once i start the engine without any muffles on... that was amazing.....

I've always passed my inspection with Termis on! no sweat!

tell us yr secret

was the inspection conducted with the engine off thru out?

was the inspector a friend/family member/relative?

did the inspection cost alittle more with a few Zeros at the end?

Seriously! I did my inspection at Kaki Bukit Vicom twice.( i stayed in yishun, but my workplace is just 100 metres away from kaki bukit Vicom). Both just went thru as per normal. Never pay anything extra. The first time was done by the Mechanic ( i was busy working), 2nd time i went myself ! The Termis sticky is still there! No joke, and i was very very surprise! lolx!

But the queue there always very very long, and attitude quite bad! I dun mind that as long as i dun have to swoop to my original exhaust for inspection. But a friend of mine was rejected for having white colour pole light on his T-Max some months ago! Thats ironic!

anyone keen on getting a clutch slave?

i'm over in Australia now and i can get clutch slaves and baskets at quite a deal.

Aluminium Clutch Basket/Support Ring

Product Details: CNC machined, hard anodised Aluminium clutch basket machined with tighter tolerances to increase basket life. Basket also features a web pattern machined into the back surface, lightening it without loosing any structural integrity.

RRP AUD357.00 ex GST and Shipping

Now: SGD180

Steel Clutch Basket

Product Details: CNC machined case and hardened steel clutch basket, giving extremely long life spans made for hard wearing environments. Basket features Vee Two web which lightens it by 55% under OEM product.

RRP AUD294.00 ex GST and Shipping

Now: SGD 200

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/solley/v2-04-526_large.jpg

Clutch Slave Cylinder

Product Details: Ezi-pull clutch slave cylinder to suit all 6 speed Belt Drive engines. CNC machined from billet with a bigger piston diameter, greatly reducing the effort required to pull in the clutch. It is manufactured with three ‘O Rings’ to stop any clutch leakage problems as opposed to OEM’s one ‘O Ring’.

RRP AUD260.90 ex GST and Shipping

Now: SGD 200

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v485/solley/misc-0321_large.jpg

Now prices are including GST and Shipping to Australia, but you'd need to wait till first week Dec for me to come back if you want.

Shipping to SG would be AUD46 (1kg) for the steel clutch basket (0.9kg) and and AUD37 (0.5kg) for the clutch slave and aluminum clutch basket (0.1 and 0.5kg).

Let me know which parts you want and I'll check on their availability.

Products are from Vee Two Australia, saw many good reviews, but apprarently they have been bought over by a Supercharger Company and are reducing their Ducati parts.

From then to now...

be sure to use aluminium clutch plates with that basket. you should see what steel ones do to the stock (steel) basket.

from then I swear off steel clutch plates.

maybe since you have an underseat exhaust with rears that fit so nicely, they did not suspect it to be after market, unlike the usual left/right pipe configuration which they have been trained oh so well to be suspicious immediately.

By the way, now that all this is in a public forum, do not expect to pass next year... :):)

Mine does not have sticker but has the engraved logo on both sides.

Both times passed at Sin Ming.

I kept on telling him all the noise was from the open clutch basket...

Depending on the Models, the SP, SPS, R and S version have street legal stock aluminium termis (with baffles) from factory. Those have no problem passing the inspection.

However carbon race pipe(w/o baffles) are not street legal and will fail inspection depending on the mood of the inspector.

don't ride WOT pass the TP lah, bro. Although I always tempted.

To bros/sis who are new to ducs w termis...Up shift to higher gear and to maintain throttle. Should do the trick. So far I no probe with TP. Then again I ride only once a month.

Any reliability issues or recalls for the 848/1098s/1198? Considering replacing my zx10r for one of the models mentioned. Anyone made a similar switch?

Same here...

My 999 inspection was done at AMK st 65/64 JIC.

No problem. Had Termis sticker also.

The older guys(40+) was ok with it. But the 30+ guys was like, " Why so noisy? Why the clutch can see one? if got little boy touch it then how? "

So i replied... " U never see Ducati before ah? which stupid kid would touch my bike when i'm riding it with my engine on"?

Then the older guy talked to the younder 1, " ya, ya this bike is like one. Like Harley, loud loud 1"

There was once, i left work with my colleague who rides a Honda-SP2, Everthing Stock. I was still riding my 999 with Termis back then.

We stopped at traffic light, waiting to turn right. Then 2 Tp bikes were behind us. After we moved off, we stopped at the next traffic light and the TP officers asked my collegue to stop at the side. Nothing happen to me. LOL

It the number plate starts with "TP", then they are only concern about traffic violation, they do not care much about pipes. However, when you meet one that starts with "ROV", then it'll be end of the story.
