One more duke adding on to the list caught by LTA. I was riding to work this morning ard 0745 on my monster with high mount termi. Along sembawang rd, saw the TP at the opp lane. He make a u-turn and gave me a good chase when i saw the disco light flashing. I just act blur and pretend surpris that termi was illegal. He said only hypermotard can fit termis, all other ducati with termi are illegal. He gave me 4 hrs to go to yishun vicom for inspection. He also warns me that its another offence if i skip the inspection. He took afew pictures on my pipes, integrated taillight and no. Plate. He said he will normally escot rider to the inspection center or call for tow truck. Lucky me wearing uniform that he spare me afew hours.

Went home immediately and change to stock pipe. Zoom back to yishun for inspection and passed. Then saw the same TP escotting a harley with screaming eagle pipes. I think they will be stopping every ducati and harley For info, i just passed my annual inspection 3 months ago on the termi pipe. Wat the f@$&.

So quickly went

sorry to hear that, curious was it LTA or TP that stopped u? LTA bugger told me to go down immediately to change when he stopped me but i told him i had work commitments, so i told him next day ill get it done. he mentioned it wont make any difference even if i changed back to stock before going for re-inspection as he already took photos of the illegal pipes.. so i dint change it.

yes, they're on a hunt!!

Okok Ty bro, I was reading the last few page. I really agree with u guys. Ducati must really have temris on their bike. That's what ducati is. Ups for you guys :)

Think you might have misunderstood a bit. Racewerks didnt bluff you. your termi which comes with cert is still legal. The issue we are having is that for some reason there is no such thing as a street legal termi system recognised in singapore...for ducati

Am i missing out something?

Why are the TPs being ridiculed for doing their job correctly?

Paparoti.......no one is ridiculed the TPs here. At times your posts can be .....errrrrr.........Yes....the TPs are doing their job correctly. There is nothing wrong with enforcing the rules and regulation. The point of discussion is are they doing their job 110% correctly and fairly?

Comparing A pair of noisy pipes with van, lorries and heavy vehicles zooming down expressway at 90km and above, which one do you think should be stopped first?

Comparing a pair of noisy pipes with those cars tailgating every vehicles ahead at high speed and recklessly driving, which one should be stopped first?

Comparing a pair of noisy pipes with those cars who lane hogged on lane 1 at 80kph, refused to give way and made every vehicles behind to overtake from the slower moving lane. Which one has higher risk of causing accident?

Its just a pair of harmless noisy pipes, i cannot fathom why are they spending so much resources, tax payer money, time and special attention to cramp down on these motorbikes. What kind of harm can these noisy pipes do? Shoot bullets and flame out to kill people? Ultimately we are still FRESH protecting the Metal. Every riders know just how vulnerable they are. How gutsto can one get with a pair of noisy pipes?

ducati with termi are not noisy, they are music to the years

comparing to those 2 strokers with high pitch pipes, they are a nuisance. they causes noise pollution. but, no one died

yes, comparing to tailgaters, someone's life will be in danger

but too bad the rank and file workers (aka LTA) feels that catching noisy pipe is easier to get bonuses rather than catching tailgaters.

this is my assumption.

Termi got a cute sticker that is recognisable from a mile, CF cans looks way different from the silver stock cans, sounds bloody loud, and almost every Ducati wears them! Not that hard to spot. Plus since they are on a witch hunt, they must have studied how witches look like???

mine has termis. but the sticker is not pasted onto the pipes itself. and i'm on a 749, those squarish pipes. so i was wondering if these people can differentiate whether if its termis or stock.
