Phantomers,

I bought a ta200 2 months back and i am loving it. THe bike is a pretty good shape and run quite smoothly.

 

THe per ltr is just 30km .. not sure if its good or bad.

 

Could u suggest something on that front.

 

Looking for servicing the bike, not sure if the previous owner serviced it and when.

 

Suggest which is the best service station ... and I staying in sengkang and works ner expo.

 

 

Wondering ... in general how much it cost to service, time and what all I should be looking for.

I stay sengkang too. Going to defu lane or kaki bukit isn't a problem for us. I do mine at Unique Motor defu branch, cuz nearer and I find the staffs there friendly.

avg good FC is 35km/ L and above... 30km is consider alittle bad worx...

 

you can check out planet motors.. That is the usual place phantom riders go..

you cannot DIY chrome... they can only be made with industrial equipments. the DIY Spray found in DIY stores only have a matt aluminium finish cuz they are not chrome.

 

Where u want to chrome btw? Tank? Pipe? Engine?

Wash and wax often, wipe off water if it gets wet. For chroming you have to ask around in industrial areas and it won't be cheap unless you know them or are frequent customers.

I am sorry if i asked a question which have already been answer in the forum... how do i do a one-man lubricating of chain...? then if its a two-man team, does it have another technique...?

what i do is i spray, then move my bike, then spray then move. doing it manually.

i would like to ask how much to chrome a phantom? or DIY better? to chrome those parts tt can chrome.

Fc depends on many many things. Bike condition aside, petrol, oil , riders wrist. anything above 30 is good. in my opinion.

The side covers are not chrome. They are plastics. Therefore, using chrome wax will not help very much. Use a polymer polish, and top off with a good sealant will do the trick.

Anyway, 5km isnt such a big deal. Ive been getting 30-35km/L and im sure i can do worse. You got your bike in may and havent serviced since? Change your engine oil and spark plug and check the tyres, lubricate your chain and your brake pads and fluids.

what does cam chain tensioner do? my got like ticking sound. :/ how long can i still ride it ?

haha.. you are so lucky. U ask the right guy.. just did mass repair last month so still kept the recipt.

Nop.. honda is honda. different story. Honda repair will cost you a bomb i think.

 

Just sent to planet and ask the mech to check your bike. if he say what need to be changed then just go ahead.

 

You may wanna try chex9000 or NASA. cheap + good EO..

how abt paint remover and polish? i just bot a phantom i like kinda like phantom with v shiny engine casing and those crash bars.. i would like to try DIY but if its v troublesome i dun mind sending it to workshop to get it done.

Thanks Guys .. went to Planet Motor and got Cheek 9000 for $16 and a $5 sparkplug changed.

 

Mark is a nice guy .. quite easy going and gives a good advise. The old uncle is all cha cha .. but think .. he got eyes.

 

Thumps up for phantomers.

 

Though ma bike is just 25K old and the uncle asked me change the chain andspoket .. .. couldnt make out if its really worn out. Any thoughts on that
