if too many people do it i think it will lose its effectiveness

I think if i am a car driver, i would play safe and assume it is TP just in case. :-p

Anyway, i dun think many people would wear white helmet and jacket as white is not a popular color among motorcyclist.

So what 2b bike most resemble a TP bike?

There was this guy wearing a white security guard uniform and a plain white helmet - riding a white Daelim Roadwin 125 ... Goodness I thought that was a termite, until I noticed the 'P' plate :faint:

Furthermore it was near the Ubi area that I saw him ... Twice :giddy:

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that!"

Termite = White Ant = White thing with white helmet n bike ...

When white ants are eating wood, u dunno until the house collapses. By then, it's too late. When one is on top of the bridge with the speed camera, u dunno until the letter comes. By then, it's also too late.

And the old VFR800.

But seriously, yes... wearing a white top and white helmet can scare ppl in front of you.

When driving, you only have a second or two to glance at the mirrors, and the color of your bike will most likely be washed out by the headlights... leaving only your shirt and helmet color-identifiable.

It helps if you have red LED running lights.

I've kept my throttle hand at bay before when I noticed a white shirt/helmeted guy riding a Super 4 with Red LED running lights coming up from behind. You'll definitely do a double take. :D

Best bikes to act as TPs would be the white colored ST11s, FJR13s, and Kawa Concourses. The head fairings make them dead ringers for termites.

Wear white helmet and jacket. Drivers far away should think or at least became more aware of your bike in case you are really Traffic Police. Does this really works?

In my opinion, when you dress up like a TP, it causes more danger to you than it protects you.

I rode a STX before. For those of you who don't know, Honda STX Pan European has a high windshield, two side panniers, very bright twin headlights, is very big bike, very powerful. That is, looks very much like any TP bike, if you looked through the rear view mirror. In fact, in US and Europe, many TPs use the STX as the TP bike. Johor uses it too.

When I rode this bike, I had the experience of cars suddenly jam brake in front of me causing me to have to jam brake as well. Because the car driver was dreaming, then suddenly see rear view mirror, got a fright thought got TP, then jam brake to avoid speeding. Dangerous to me. And I and the bike weren't even in white.

Other times, it is just plain inconvenient because the cars in front will slow down because they thought a TP is behind them.

So what benefit is there?

:cheeky:

You don't have to dress up like a TP to be visible. The way you ride to make yourself visible and predictable to other road users, is even more important.

 I encounter this uncle riding ST11 white color... Helmet also white... At a traffic light junction, while waiting for green. He told the car beside him to wear the seat belt. Maybe he's on PTO or maybe he's just hallucinating...

beside the appearance..i personally feel that it's also the way u ride...even if u '"Dress" like a TP, "Bike" like TP but the way u r riding..Endangered other road user...wats the use of "Commanding" other's respect/Attention.

I belief a more powerful headlights is more important than dressing like a TP.

Those (cars or bikes) who just switch on their pilot lamps are quite stupid to me.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.
