BAsically.....to my opinion tat is....there's only 2 kinda models.....which is RR & SP.....However....model names such as...L-SP/M-SP/N-SP/P or just plain L-model/M-model/N-model are just the name given for the year the bike ws "born" .....&as you know SP means "Sports producion"....So to conclude .... the just plain "L-model/M-model/N-model" are just normal bikes ....wifout the punch of an SP model G4.....

i went to read wedsite there got many kinda GSX SP BUT some got 53hp and some got 59hp.. before year 1993 SP model is 59hp and after 1993 is 53 hp..

Hello Guys

I just lost my one and only key for my Baby-G. Can I know where I can get another set of key? Need it urgently.

Thanks

my fren had a similar experience...

he towed the bike to a shop in bukit merah, and they actually replaced the lockset for him. not sure if theres like a universal key though

alternatively, try previous owners, who knows they still holding on to the extra set

the centre tube is something like vacumn suction tube or wadeva for petrol to flow out from the tank.

yoz got a question abt carb service.

ave price for carb service is as follows is it?

service - $80

needle - $45 x 4 = $180

seals - $$ ?

price quoted by Hua Chin (Midview, can't really trust them leh)

btw, must all 4 needles be changed at any one time? basically for my bike, i noticed that some petrol seems to be leaking from the "bottom of the carb". The leak is BARELY noticable and its NOT dripping continuously. Its when u put a finger below the carb, theres an oil stain. Stain comes after a ride and not when parked.

hence i was told by a mechanic that its due to a dirty carb and the "needle could no longer regulate the level of petrol" . (not sure what that means though). He then said that have to change all 4 needles as they come in a set. Is that true? And for the fact that the stain is dirty, possibly the air filter needs to be changed as well.

so my QUESTIONS are:-

1) is all the above that was said true?

2) which shops do u recommend. cheap and good reliable shops. Prices pls.

Many thanks..

as for carb servicing, it's very hard to know what are the parts that r worn out or spoilt unless the mechanic had opened up the carb and chk.

Maybe it could be purely due to dirt inside the carb, so just a carb wash might be able to resolve the problem.

Secondly, dirty stains found on carb alone cannot determine whether the air filter is dirty. Bro, u try open and then close throttle quickly during neutral gear and see whether if the engine will die off or not, if there is, there's a likelyhood that air filter is dirty.

The price range for carb svc: 60 - 80

Seals:- $8 per pc(I dun understand a stupic rubber can cost so much) i changed 5 pc that time.

Needles: not sure..

Floats:- $35 each

Air Filter: $35/-

Recommended shop, I would recommend bikeworkz @ khaki bukit. The mech ah beng do a great job for carb services, tts's for my case.

Lastly,

well.... tyres for a set with rear 160 costs abt 290+- depending on the brand and model that you get. Possibly cheaper at HKL and Ah boy but personally i wouldn't get the tyres fitted there...
