mine also got the same problem.. hahaha. if you want to secure it you need to remove the tail board so that u can have access to the screw which is quite troublesome when you have box mounted too... cauz you have to dismantle the rack first... lol

Hahaha ya, but very irrtating when you keep hearing the lousy sound. But i heard from my mech, the thing might be damaged which you end up cannot screw also. That time when i just got my bike and changed the tailboard from led to normal didn't notice that.

Hello Singapore -

I have a 2000 Honda CB400SF (NC39 i think) and because it is a Grey import, all after market parts have to be sourced from outside of NZ :/

I'm looking for a slip on exhaust (not too loud) for my bike, and i need help as to where to get it from and what you would recommend?

It has the 3 bolt type exhaust and i have all the measurements etc, just need guidance!

Thanks!

Hi ther

Dnt think it's worth the money to buy a "Singapore Legal Exhaust for your bike" to be used at your country .. Abit too over priced

Try looking online for pipes which is abit cheaper n have a variety of choices..

Maybe u can start off with Japan Webbike site.. Full of accessory n ect for our cb400sf

Need some advise here as My bike stalled while riding on expressway today. It was my 2 times so far in this month . Fortunately the traffic is light for me on both ocassions for me to filter to shoulder to restart the bike .

It suspect that it might be the key ignition system that couldn't detect my key or my bike key may be faulty. Anyone experience this issue before.

Posted

I experienced on stalled engine before too. Mine case was, it stalled at times when I close throttle and clutched in. It can stalled be it on a cold engine just rode out of the carpark, or already warmed up after 30km of distance. It can also happened be it I open Vtec or not.

If your case is similar to mine, then it has something to do with the tuning of the Carburetor, off set already. If it has been a long time you last tuned your timing, maybe it's time to get it check by an experience mechanic.

I suspect could be fuel filter clogged or carburetor needs a tune or wash if you haven't done that in a while. If the key was faulty I don't think you can even start the bike or restart it.

Went to the bike shop yesterday and the mechanic also concluded the ignition key lock is faulty as it couldn’t power up the bike when the key is tilted to some degree.

As the shop does not have the stock, I have to arrange another date to come down again to fix the issue.

My concern is that after the shop has change the ignition key lock, I have to use my old key to open the petrol tank lock and seat lock. I was wonder why they don’t sell a complete set of locks. I not so reluctant to squeeze another key into my key pouch.

btw , i was quoted "close" to $200 for this ignition key lock set which come with 2 Hiss Keys . Is this Expensive ?

Need help. I am in Malaysia for long holiday, my Super4 Vtec 1 couldn't start after washed.

Below are things I checked, any pro can tell me what I left out?

1.) Battery checked, ok. Nearly 13V.

2.) Spark plug checked, seems ok.

3.) Starter/ Pulse generator, pressed and no abnormal sound observed. (electrical system from fuse up to starter seems ok)

4.) Petrol half tank remaining.

5.) Fuse box compartment dry. Shouldn't be short circuit here.

Put in gear 2, slowly reverse bike n release clutch .. Listen for " whining sound "ard starter carbon area..

Then try push start instead
