finally I could log onto sbf... :dozed:

first I went into overtime when I couldn't really mount the exhaust springs onto the exhaust... then I almost dropped my number plate... had to ride home without it from hougang... hopefully I didn't attract too much attention...

and after all those delays... at long last I arrived at the dam at 12.40am... :sian:

well... fusionzone's presence sure was quite an impact... :cheeky:

it was very educational for a bike kuku like me ytd... i guess i need to improve my convey riding b4 gg to FNOs haha, i guess my "safety distance" is too much n make me unable to catch up :cheeky: usually otr my safty distance also pretty far, mayb its my phobia of skidding when braking

just come for more rides with us! i also still learning, we all are still learning! my 1st ride with pk, was a seafood trip to msia and it was an eye-opener, i've been active since that trip and i learned alot of things from fellow riders and friends! maintaining the pace set by convoy leader is important.

you were saying why i stop at the filtering lane towards upp thomson road, i was "marking" the road, i.e whenever there is a turn at a junction, a rider (marker) will stop at the turning point to guide riders behind, usually after the sweeper (last rider) go thru, the 'marker' will return to his original postion in the convoy...

the more lao jiao ones, do correct me if im wrong in any way.

no offence, i think you should get to know most of the riders well and their riding style better before even thinking of being given a big responsibility as a marshal in an convoy...

no worries bro .

riding as a marshall for 250++ bikes convoy is not new to me .

thanks for ur concern ,

anyway i am just requesting , not confirm also =)

and if after afew convoy people does not like the way i marshall , its ok ma .

take it as i try loh !

hahas

oh ya , the marker is always the first 7 riders in the convoy (excluding leading bike no matter how many there are)

thats for big convoy .

for smaller size maybe first and second rider is the marker =)

bro , no offence , and i aint a lao jiao.

just that unless u are made a marker or really have experience in being a marker , its very dangerous for u to filter out of the convoy and go the the side to be marker .

i am going to share my 2cent for a convoy , if anything i say is not right , please correct me ..

in a convoy , every junction should have 2 marker , especially in bigger convoy.

first marker will be around 500 meters away from exit / junction to let people know that they should slow down , second marker should be at the exit , signaling to people , 45degree slanted towards the exit , with hazard light on , helmet on seat , and please dun sit on ur bike , cause if some joker didn't see u and try to cut in at that area , at least u can react ,

for vehicle breakdown park at the road shoudler 45 degree with tail of bike facing in road .

helmet on bike , remember , marshal will only stop when ur back is facing the road , cause that means u are in trouble. and please do not sayang ur bike so much that u hide it under the shade , cause sometime marshall need to run up and down the road finding ur bike , and because u're in the shade , they cant find it. that is when no marshall spotted u when u are filtering out of the convoy.

when u see people in front of u tapping their helmet , that means ur headlight not on , please do not think that their helmet is itchy :sian:

when u need to leave the convoy , signal out , with ur right hand pulling 3 times , just like how u will pull the toilet bowl to flush , for example when u piston jam .

when u need to relieve urself at the side of the road , please do the same thing but use ur left hand. cause when u pull with right hand , normally a marshall will follow u , and he will signal a mechanic to u.

when u need pump oil , common sense la , point a number 7 towards ur tank , and people will know , a marshall will pull u out of the convoy , and guide u into nearest petrol kiosk and then guide u back into convoy.

just my 2cents that i learn from the first Magdaco convoy .

i hope what i share will be useful to people who are new to convoy.

anyway , i am still quite new la , so not lao jiao , if anything i say here is wrong , please correct me =)

no hard feelings !

a request directed to me... I am honoured, but it is obvious that I am not the deciding factor... you would have to ask the organiser of the convoy (in the future).

normally a rider would have to ride with pk many times before the rider is allowed to practise the different roles available in the convoy. overall riding experience is a plus, but different convoys have different styles and functions... so I hope you would understand

nah snm is of course open for friends and family as well...

apply more front brakes than rear.. should be quite safe using front brakes.. u can also try to practise fishtail balancing when u r at low speed..

im ok...still hungry only...hahahaa

hmmmm, gonna be slightly off-topic in here, anyway Diff groups of riders practise, diff types of SOP for convoy riding, but they share one thing in common, Ride as a group, reach destination as a group, and last but not least not leave anyone behind....

actually a role player can be anyone, as long he is confident about his role, i do not see any reason why he or she should not be given a chance....

Yangkru i may have something of a bigger role that u and vidak might be able to help me, Pm me for more details ok??

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.
