hi bro, when my friend got the bike, full tank only can go 140km. then he when back to bike shop and the shop adjust something and the bike can go 160km. now the bike shop ask him to send back again and check.

Woah so terok man 160km for full tank of petrol. Is the bike stock? Go for valve clearance alr? If mine were to get tat much for full tank of petrol, i will go public in no time. Try to clean air filter, change plug. This help abit. :thumb:

need some advice from lao jiao here.

anybody encounter so called 'engine died' when you are on the move, then you slow down, clutch in, down to lower gear on their R1?

and having abit of difficulties starting their bike?

i kena a few times on expressway when lanesplitting at low speed during heavy traffic, i have to clutch in and press start while on the move and throttle, and it is quite dangerous as the bike suddenly surge forward.

is it low idling problem? or clutch plate problem? or need a proper dyno run because i changed to aftermarket exhaust slip ons.

need help please!!

i am riding 08 r1. i heard that this is a common problem for r1 07/08 model.

Errr... Your mech need your advise on this? or you ask him to troubleshoot first.

If he can't identify the problem, probably you wanna change another workshop.

then i went down my bikeshop today, tune my idling abit higher.

the boss told me is either fuel pump is dirty, or the fuel intake abit low due to low petrol, therefore cause choking.

another finding is the valve at the fuel tank cap is dirty, blocking the air flow.

another outsider told me to always pump full tank to big bike to prevent air from accumulating inside the tank. ask me try out the method.

these factors also affect the throttle problem right?

sorry, correct me if i am wrong, seniors.
