I've personally only tried the CBR 1K, R1 and RC8, be it short distance or for a year or so. There is a big power difference among these 3, contrary to what was mentined earlier.

U pull the throttle on the RC8, u orgasm.

R1/CBR are a bit on the tame side. Good for Yishun Dam or West Coast Mac meet-ups though.

Michelin power pure. Excellent in wet and dry road. 190/55 very good for cornering.

very light too.

bro can i ask what's the stock size for R1?

engine can get pretty hot in sg weather.. the top end is abit short on power.. the sound of the downshift sounds like a twin.. apart from that, the rearsets are crappy, change to an aftermarket one... dont try to pillion anyone cause the plastics wont help to shield any heat away...

when u say rearsets? do u mean the rider footrest? secondly, what plastics are u talking bout when u say it won't help to shield any heat? bro paiseh i'm a newbie in R1...please understand :)

stock size is 190 ... yes rearsets mean footrest.

Well for underseat exhausts, the rear tailboard or plastics wont help your pillion to fend of the heat .... thats what spikes89 means

What say u

I've only seen one RC8 here in Singapore, guy probably stays around Meyer Road/Tanjong Rhu - sounded pretty kickass.

I would like to try the new ZX-10r though. 199hp at the crank, pretty insane innit - or perhaps the S1000RR. Either ways, I love R1s. :)

For rearsets - I love the Rizoma sets for the 09-11 - look great and blend well with the frame.

Class 3 = 02/07/2002

Class 2B = 24/04/2008

Class 2A = 22/12/2009

Class 2 = 10/02/2011

Brother has the 2011 zx10, been out on a few rounds with it.. very small for a litrebike, almost makes it feel like a 600.. will admit that the showa bpf and ohlins damper works very well together, almost like a jap version of a 1098s, electronics look and sound better than the r1, which feels like it has none.. never got to push it to the limit though=(

oh u need to take 3 months and average out the COE ...

example if your COE expires on may this year, u need to sum up the COE from feb till april, then divide by 3 and that will be your renewal price .... LTA will also send u a letter, informing the price of your renewal

Icic... Just hope tat coe will continue to drop further by the end of the year

As I have mentioned earlier, stock footrest is more comfortable for daily, leisure and touring riding ... some prefer aftermarket ones due to the aggresive posture that they need for cornering for tracking purposes ... for looks its up to individual which i would prefer valta moto over other brands ...

for tyres, 55 is the stock height if i am not wrong ... actually what i understand for 190, its very stable for straight road high speed while those who prefer better handling for corners would choose size 180

What say u
