Install a voltmeter so that you don't get nasty surprises.

ya and total dmg not 800.. its 1150 -_- magnet and coil both gone :cry:

i do have 1 but the problem come too fast for anyone to prepare... i think its pointless to get a volt meter after wat i experience zzzz

Maybe your case a bit of a surprise... :(

 

Voltmeter is just a passive device. You need to be able to interprete the reading.... (eg: When the bike is idle, running and just ignition "ON") . if you are getting less than 14V when bike is running, then you have to check the charging system already.

Max!! for mine... if bike running the voltmeter is unstable (ups and downs) like between 13V++ - 14V++

"LIKE" Button ... got normal ones like $30 - $50...

NOTE: for me i choose BLUE Light one.. so tat it matches with the meter light =PP

Rex got his Voltmeter with Gear Indicator at $220 "Double LIKE"

Hahaha. R1 have voltmeter. The highest voltage my bike can go is 14.2v. Lowest while idling is 13.4v but it keep goin up n down in that range. My mini yammies got it cdi burnt. Total damage plus tow below 200. But im getting a ballistic battery for my r1 soon.

Hahaha. R1 have voltmeter. The highest voltage my bike can go is 14.2v. Lowest while idling is 13.4v but it keep goin up n down in that range. My mini yammies got it cdi burnt. Total damage plus tow below 200. But im getting a ballistic battery for my r1 soon.

 

depending on situations.... rough guideline

 

1) Ignition on w/o headlights >12.7V

 

2) Ignition on with headlights >12.4V

 

3) Idling > 13.5V (give or take 0.3V if radiator fan is on)

 

4) Rev at 6000rpm >14.5V

 

check coil resistance or voltage rectifier/regulator when voltage is abnormal

cannot start then when the mech open up adjust here and there abit, can start liao and the 46 code gone..

 

but after a check on the magnet and coil, confirms they are dmged

 

i buying the g1 pro at 220 dunno carrot or not.. volt meter 40 small size can choose red or blue
