there are some people report that they change to ape manual tensioner, and after a while, the loud clack back again and he has to adjust it manually....plaese think about it again....

this loud clack is one of my main reason i sold my 09 R1.....i cant deal with change the cam chain etc on a brand new bike.....just my opinion

 

"MANUAL" tensioner mean that you will have to adjust it at the recommended interval as the chain will stretch....

 

BTW, Did you disclose to the buyer of your R1 about the clacking noise when you sold your bike?

Hey guys , need help here. My bike when riding at slow speed Btwn 70-80km/hr in gear 4 or 5 somtimes my bike like jerky, like petrol don't wanna go in da carb or sumtin. Weird. Is it normal ? I'm using shell 98. My fren told me that maybe it's the octane on the petrol or sumtin. My bike still in stock cond. I did chag aftermarket pipe thou & never disturb the carb etc.. Help pls. Thx.

hmm.. seriously.. i seldom go up to gear 5 in sg.. usually go up to 4 on expressway.. if normal road gear 3.. maybe u are not use to the power therefore always kick up.. its more like individual riding style.. haha

if u change pipe but never change the jetting or air filter it could happen ....

 

by the way, riding at 80km/h in gear 4 or 5 is normal.

 

I ride at 80km/h at 6 gear and its still ok

What year is your R1? mileage done?

i didnt tell him, but he hear it himself directly, when he try to turn it on for the first time.....he said its not a problem for him, he said my previous bike (a gsx) is louder than this ....wakakakaka:P
