Should government change to this for class 2B?

  1. 1. Should government change to this for class 2B?

    • Ban all two stroke bikes but allow 250cc bikes for class 2B
    • Continue to allow two stroke bikes and keep the current cap of 200cc for class 2B

Do you think the government should ban all two stroke bikes but allow 250cc (four stroke only) bikes for class 2B?

1) 200cc four stroke bikes are too slow for sg roads

2) 250cc two stroke bikes are too powerful for beginners

3) two stroke bikes are really very noisy (:angel:sorry if i offended anyone)

still allow 2-stroke bikes and upgrade the cap to 250cc for class 2B

and increase 2A to 500cc.

I say 1 licence fits all.

Class 2. Take one licence and we can ride ANY BIKE WE DESIRE. The best.

do away with the CC cap .. follow the european system . Power cap to 33 bhp then go full power after probation. 2A bike getting far and few between .... especially the sports bikes .. retro 13/14 year old ones left sians....

allow 2ooCC or below for 2stroke & 25oCC or below for 4stroke.

Haha, we always discussing something that will happen in a very low % . Like gov will care us. D:

Currently, one with class 2 license but zero road experience can ride a super sportsbike immediately.

I propose a rider a ride up to 33bhp (instead of cc as bhp better measurement of power) when they have less than 1 year riding experience ( must show insurance/road tax document proof ) , up to say 50bhp when they have more than 1 year riding experience.

As for unlimited bhp, they must have experience riding a bike of at least 50 bhp for more than a year with document proof.

its not the lambos wrxes that are killing bikers on the roads. its the taxis! and they have tons of experience and been driving for years! lol the irony!

They should do away with class 2A imo, waste money to get exrta 200cc power, should just have below 400cc, above 400cc class if they want.

dun agree to have 1 license for all.. but i think for

2b 250cc and below is fine.

2a less than 600cc.

c2 open class.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

2C --- 200cc and below

after 1 year, auto upgrade to 2B(noneed practical test)

2B --- 250cc and below

for upgrade to class 2A and 2, remain like now that's OK

take 3-4 years time to class 2 should be no problem gaining road experience.

pls dont ban 2 strokes. i love my 2 stroker.

the problem with the current 200cc four stroke bikes is not that they are too slow for sg, but that they are too light and unstable (same for small 2 stroke too).

however, making them heavier will make them too slow.

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

i dun deny this. maybe state its for 4 strokes only.. but this is to widen the choice of 2a bikes. there's really not many choices.

anyway, we can talk until the birds fly down and durian drop from the tree, its not going to be capitalised.

Up to 250cc for class 2b? what if all the p-platers, buy all the 2 stroke 250cc sports bike as their 1st bike how? do u think they will be able to countrol? What if the said p-plater is an 18-years-old rossi/stoner wannabe? i worry for the person man. For myself, if my 1st bike was a 250cc 2stroke sports bike, or even a scramber, i would have crush the bike.

i think it will be good if they have just 2 license class for Bikes say

Class 2A and Class 2 ( instead of engine capacity as the measurement, we use Bhp), i feel that the 1 year of wait to upgrade your license, not only gives you more experience otr but also helps in developing the mentality of a motorcyclist.

1 license for bike is alittle extreme, back to the scenerio the said p-plater rossi wannabe is an Yamaha R1 0_0 Oh, i hope it applies to class 3 for the same reason.

You just shot yourself in the leg for saying that statement.

If you give me a 250cc 2 stroke sports bike, with the knowledge that i have more power, i will still hold the same responsibility as i would do now. Safety first.

A P-Plate rossi wannabe and an unkle who is very reckless. Same thing what. From what you are saying, isnt it safe to say that we should ban motorcycling, or any other vehicles on the road for that matter?

1 licence for all is still the best. Because ultimately it's all in the riders hands.

so whats the difference between a p-plater rossi wannbe on an R1 and a old timer with equally attitude on an R1?

One word. Experience

if im not wrong, back in the old days, u can ride any cc once u have a bike license...

Yap. Those were the days, 1 licence take all. Even L-Plate without licence also can go on the road.

But 1 Licence all classes straight away may not be that good and idea, imagine your first bike is a Hayabusa.... :faint:

A better way is to cap the first bike at a lower cc but allow the rider to ride a bigger cc bike after the end of the P-plate period, without having to go through the hassel of re-register for a 2A and class 2.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.
