strip the bike naked,instal 41mm FCR2 X2...use wr4 or yz plastics and shrouds...do high mount dual mufflers...super kewl...

 

btw,how is your bike?yest your abang call me...we were at fongseng...

 

from what ijat told me,i suspect it could be either CDI,rectifier,and lastly,the mosquito coil...err..i mean magneto coil...

 

 

care to share if the problem being rectified?

haha, i had to push start the bike due to empty battery, the bike actually when dead becoz of fuel. and restarting the bugger after re fuelling can be such a pain... got my battery charged at home after that..

 

fitting 2x FCR 2 41mm would be a good project, ive been thinking abt it too, but the balancing of the 2 carb wont be as easy as it sounds.. and lastly, cost for FCR aint that cheap too..

 

the bike seems to be running fine, jus need a little getting used to with the yamaha loud clunky gear box from 1st to 2nd, mostly in older model, not too sure abt the 900s.. currently jus need to get my dust seal for my fork replace as it rusted, cant do it myself without a mainstand.. urg... some slight tapping/rattling sound of the cam chain at 3K RPM which irritates me from time to time, planning to do a change of cam chain, cam bearings, tensioner and valve clearance after my thailand trip in OCT.

haha...anyway i like building up my own bikes, used to own a crappy KTM 400 from a Ex-owner who doesnt give a rat ass abt the bike, although the rebuilt is not instance and took a lot of time and effort, i was pleased in the end results.. i like t0 DIY stuff myself from minor to engine stuff, thus the rebuilt for the KTM wasnt that ex.. did the carb calibration and stuff, and even got 20km/l.

 

so for the TDM, i'm trying to change some stuff, and from there maintain its performance and lifespan.. at least you know when u changed it and should have your own schedule to maintain it, rather than fearing when will it die on you right?
