Ok...user of X-1R and "user to be"...this thread is "luke warm" now and may get hotter about X-1R. Check it out...it's interesting and at the same time..'knowlegeable' to some.

at first gear half clutch.. there's some noise heard.. i suspect my clutch plate has worn off? hmmm.. any1 changed clutch plates b4.. what's d damage cost? *gulps*

Its not that expensive lah...change b4 many donkey years ago. If its the plates, its okay but don't wait till you hear more noise...that time, your clutch housing also damage..that time more. Sori..can't quite remember but can always find out. What's your version?

 

Btw...before you decide..have you checl the clutch cable adjustment portion at the lower right hand side? If it reach the end of its thread..that's mean its time.

yoyo ah pek ur mai box fulll le ley! haha.. i just tried.. bought a bottle of the maxima cool aida premix. $18.40. abt 2l.. i drain out my cooleant, spray water in *using a hose... haha then pour in the coolant... i start engine, the coolant stay at the brim of the opening.. then i rev abit, it go down.. so i pour in a bit more... but once engine idle the coolant spill out. so i close the cap and top up the reservior to the top lvl..

 

but i find it funny... how come 1 bottle cannot finish... our coolant capacity less than 2l? not say left a lot.. ard 100ml maybe? btw how would i noe that its cooling effectivly? think might want to add a switch to the fan.. wat u thiink?

 

also i change my engine oil... brand is royal purple.. did some reading and some ppl also say not bad.. so try..$17.5 per bottle.. the oiil is purple in colour... haha...add in the x-1r find it not bad quite smooth.. but just now i go rev my engine to abt 13-14 rpm at neutral.. can see flame coming out fr the exhuast!!.. rather nice... haha... still have yet to try the veg oil.. but once i pump petrol will add in... tell u the result again.. anyway.. good day...

You did well on your koolant DIY job. As long as you have rev a bit and the coolant is going up and down..all is well. You need not worried much about wheather its working or not...it should be. Do check the coolant reservoir once in a long while for the level..that can tell and there is a overheating temperature warning like in some version..that red led in the meter warn of overheating and tells you that cooilng system is out also.

 

Purple eo has proven it self..with X-1R, it really doesn't matter what oil you use.

Tuning: FOC

 

Next week will be doing Fork Service. My right fork the top cover has rusted. Now bike smoother. But how to make it more smoother. Coz in MAY i'm going on a long journey. So wanna make it feel good.

Wow.. I never knew that there is such a thing as 'full flame' yoshi and couldnt find it on the internet. Care to share some info about it? And how does its loudness compare with others like micron, tri-oval, etc?

For me, I change every 4k rpm for gear 1-5. When engage 6th gear, bike will be at 60kmh. But seems like phantom, wave, taxi all seem to overtake me when I am accelerating from 0-60. Why ah? Am I changing gear at too low rpm?

u can change gear at higher rpm. depends on u i also change gear at 4k. but i gear 1 n 2 very fast change onil after gear 3 takes awhile to change still will be ahead of cars.

Aiyoh_yo...I think got bicycle overtake you also you don't know. open up lah...alamak..its a "SUPER" bike with four ciclinder knooow!...try like me lah ok?...first gear..rpm till 7 or 8...then shift straight to 3rd gear and cruise at 5.5 rpm and reach your 6 gear neverr let it drop below 5.5 rpm.

actually its the FULL RAINBOW yoshi. last time they said its Limited Edition. but now unique bring liao. me n my fren bought it.

 

Yoshi put in Ver S = Bassy Sound. which is heaven for me. hahaha

nolah, actually wanted to get the sCORPION pipe. but then not approved for nonvtec. so sad. so get a yoshi la. dissappear coz work hard like robot to achieve this yoshi dream liao. hahahaha
