If the Singapore police are willing to form an undercover team for S4 riders and lure these theifts I be the first to volunteer mannn! Say..a grow goes up, park in hi-risk Kopetiam area there..such that there is only one way out..and all stay watch. I'm sure we can net come catch after a month operation mannn! May be the insurance company should sponsor this project.

in the first place, how could u had parked ur bike in a location where ur eyes cant even see ur bike when u r having ur lunch?

 

1 min is all it need for ur bike to be jump started and riden off.

I feel for you, bro. Apparently, the news report stated that older versions of S4 are being targeted. And the low-lifes can do it in seconds. People don't notice anything amiss as they can start the bike as though they had the original keys with them. Plug and play.

Looks like you have to make a report to the police in Singapore oso and then your insurance company and do aksed the insurance for further proceeding and advise. Investigation and payment can take up to at least 6 months.

 

Btw...did you have any alarm at that time.

Should be 3rd party with fire and theft (same as 2nd party) lah..no one buy 1st for old bike. Just 3rd party only and nothing else better have an alarm and make your bike like an electric eel...at least got hope.

is the hole supposed to hv a screw inside?

i recently had the 'bike-very-hot-until-pillion-can-feel-the-heat' problem, and apparently some circular tubing (behind the carb) was broken and leaking coolant. had it changed and bike was fine already.

 

that is, until this! i just checked my bike and this is what i saw. suspect leaking, but from where sia...anyone experienced this before? help anyone? =(

First up, check your spark plugs. If you recently changed to OWS Iridium, or any other plugs for that matter, make sure that the plugs are seated properly. My previous mech did not tighten it properly, for fear the ceramic may break if overly tightened. End result: EO coming out from the spark plug edges and flowing through the two side holes.

 

The holes do not have any screws inside. Open your red spark plug cap and look inside. You'll see that it leads out to the hole.

Yes..if its all round leak..likely block gasket. B4 confirming going to shop...washed of with petrol or kerosene. Dry it and retighten the block nuts (have to remove tank) with box wrench. Careful here and do it in a cross pattern format.

 

Go ride and test at hi rpm and see if still leak..if it is and still around there..could be the screw not tighten when it was use for carbs tunning.

If one cylinder is not working...yes, you can tell by hearing and performance. Performance is jerky and randomly sluggish..and the sound you hear is like bubbles making sound in a pipe or gargling with your mouth close.

 

I think you need to service carbs soon...but b4 spending that $80 and $40 for tunning..go get Blue Coral petrol treatment or STP fuel treatment and ride hard for two tank full first. Yes, it cleanse your fuel flow path very well..but read instruction for amount to be ised with your fuel. I believe your choke link for butterfly carbs flap are contaminated with dried fuel residue only. Give it a try...don't service carbs straight.
