Thanks alot AhPek:thumb:. Wil consider refurbishment for my rear shock then! Maybe sending to BikeLab or UniqueMotorsport. I have no clue where is Teck Thye Motor if want to go there!:cheeky:

xdir, when are you going down to refurbish your shocks ? Why not try the shop, teck thye, which ah pek mentioned ? I need to do it too.

I ve emailed Bikelab n for wat they mention notin is bout the rebound spacer. They quote me $230. Parts that they will change and inspect are Oil Seal, Silkolene Fluid, Shaft Inspection and Polish, Shim Stack Inspection and Modification, Nitrogen Renew and Spring Rate Check. Hm, does Teck Thye still give free rebound spacer?:cheeky:

I might wan to do it end of this month. Cannot tahan the shock too soft. Pillion ppl can really feel the bike not balance properly, especially during cornering:cry:. Hm, i dont mind going to teck thye if they r gud. Since AHpek recommend, I tink it worth a try. How bout u?

Great info..in this case, I make my statement short..heal or yield..you better go to Teck Thye. Remember..$240 all in and don't do your front fork there.

Hi ah pek, remember i ask you the other time when i clutched in my bike went tak tak like i nv clutch in fully? Today it got worst. When i clutched in fully and free rolling my bike, the tak tak tak was so bad it jerked my bike quite badly until i unclutch and reclutch. But then when i stopped and clutched in, there was a tak tak tak for a while and stopped. I noticed that only if my bike is fully warmed up then will not have this prob, or if i clutch in and out for a while b4 i move off then it's ok. I think my clutch wires are wearing off or i should juz loosen my clutch wires?

Not sure base on your symptom description. Was there anything done lately before this happens. I remember you mentioned you fell or something and heard your shin. What was the damage to the bike at that time and what was done?

My guess is could be your clutch spring or clutch housing not in proper condition. I heard of cases ppl have their part fix wrongly the other way round. Check with S4Vtec..he had something fitted in reverse once and clutch was producing noises. Sorry...can't have an amswer till I have a brief history of your bike b4 this happens.

Hi Ah pek..my handlebar is a bit shaky when i ride so i go to workshop and they told me its the cone bearing faulty. But after changing it, it became worse. Now it shakes like crazy especially when i ride slow. Could it be because of poor workmanship while replacing the cone bearing? or other things perhaps? Just seeking for opinions before i go back to verify with the workshop

Cone bearing does not make your handle shaky. If its bad, it has a Kock_Kock sound when you start and go, brake and stop and turn very stiffly to left and right.

I can only suspect the following:

1) Front wheel bearing worn out. (likely)

2) Uneven wear and tear of your fron't tyre. (Very likely)

3) Tyre pressure not right or rim damage. (Highly possible)

4) Upper and lower fork brace clamps mounting bolt/bolts loose.

5) Uneevn fork height seating due to item 3.

Let us know the outcome so we all learn here.

What tyres..on discount ones are normally in the risk of long storage and rubber compound is screwed!...hard and soft at random all over the place. Is your tyre size for your S4 correct size..or you like to put big big..LOL!

Whatever it is..go back to the shop and tell them they did not solve the bike shaky handle bar problem..make you change cone bearing for $$s waste. But don't be stupid enough to hear them to tell you to change handle bar...LOL!

Anyway..since the tyres are paid..asked them to get the rim balance..or was your rim damage during changing tyre?..did they use the tyre machine for tyre removal?

Metzeler ME Z1 120/60-17 160/60-17,the previous tyre i used was also the same size but Metzeler M1,my tire is done wit the balancing, yes they used the tyre machine to removed the tyre,hw to check whether the rim is damaged???

Not sure what is your size, weight and build..anyway.go up your front tyre pressure to 270. If no improvement and since the trouble occurred after tyre changed..go back to them. Its their responsibility to see that you have a safe bike to ride thus have to correct it.

This is very common of old bikes lah..however, there are certain approach you can take like "liquid engineering" to try to improve it but don't expect it to result like a new bike..may be even better...LOL!

Oh ya hor, wow ah pek you really can remember lots of suff.. Ya the tak tak tak happens after i had the fall. But then only my tail, and crashbar got scratched. But then is after the fall i had a hard time trying to start the bike but then when i read 1 post that you posted the other time saying if the bike fall then cannot start is due to petrol went into something.

Another one is i went for replacement of floating pins + clean carb + oil and plug change. Other then that i really have nothing much le..

bro, i totally understand what you are going through. Check whether your tires are worn out, square off or hardened too.

I just changed my tires recently as my tires are too old and one of them cracked (front) and square off(back).

After changing them, cornering is sooooooooooo much better but of cause i still can feel that

my shocks are still toooooo soft.

Maybe you might want to try to tighten your shocks to the maximum first ?

Are you in a rush to refurbish the shocks ? Cause I'm quite cash tight for this month.

I was thinking maybe we can both go down together or find more people and can bargain for a cheaper price.

Anyone interested in refurbishing shocks ?? Please put your nick down

Yah..the stuff you did has nothing to do with the clutch sound..however the "fall"..tail lamp and crash bar may have visual physical damage but the "Lai_Sion" (internal injury) you can't see. A massive weight without motion of a S4 just being drop over can cause a lot of unpredictable damage that we ever least thing off..like a float cut-off needle damage etc. Have to understand the "jog"..the impact your bike received when it fell to its side can caused internal movement. who knows..may be something in your clutch is being partially dislodged already.
