Just a noob question, how do I change the airfilter? Do I need to remove the fuel tank?

I know where it is. But its covered by what I think is the airbox. How to remove it? Im riding a Ver S.

not sure about ver.s but vtec1 u got to remove the tank then u will see got a place with 3 screw one, unscrew it then pull it out inside got a air filter if is those aftermarket one then ok liao if stock one maybe u might think to change to aftermarket one

stock one need replacement, aftermarket one can just clean up, recharge and use it again. erm if i am not wrong ah pek got a way to DIY "clean and recharge"

Normal standard Denso will do lah..less than $50 only oso can last 30k liao for your riding style. If I got Nology Sliver plug come in, I let you know.

80-100 ? i fix 100 for both i think unqiue doing 80 for both

i recommend u change both, come to think logically right if u change one side only then it will be one side new fork oil another one old one then the balance is not there

so if u brake hard maybe it will go to the old one more since is not that stiffer as the new oil right ?

To add in to what MrIce said...this may not be a case of fork seal issue only..it could be your front fork upper section tube (stanchion) done bad like a deep scratch along it caused by sand stuck at the fork seal. That tube itself is $150+ at least. You won't know until you replace a new seal but a good mech can tell by rubbing his hand along the tube surface.

Can go check with Ah Fook if you want or just about any good Mech you know.

Ah Pek's EO update

Hi all, just wanna post on the fuel consumption of my bike.

Previously it was averaging 22.5km/L with a pillion most of the time.

Best was 24.5km/L when I was riding alone and riding from west to selarang camp via ECP, mostly highways

After changing Ah Pek's EO.

1st tank, travel 350km pumped 15L ~ 23.3km/L (improve 0.8km/L:thumb:)

gonna update on 2nd tank once its hit.

After this I will be addin valve cleaner for the next 3 tanks.

hi ah pek and the rest . got something to ask of you.

recently ive been using those " chiong " bulbs from LAB. and i realised that my headlight fuse gets burnt easily. is it due to the bulb issue? fuse is still normal 10A and bulb is normal 55/60.

As a result, i tested the bulb on a 15A fuse but it blewed as well.

then , i changed and tested the same 15A fuse on a Osram Nightbreaker. Few days later, fuse also got burnt. whats the problem ?

erm ah peh nology plug u say isit cheap???i listen to u hor din change plug , using normal ngk . ok rite???

Its not cheap lah but want to get also difficult. Price not too far from original Denso iridium but what we buying it for is its almost resistance free feature using pure silver.

NGK is good too but I somewhat have preference for Denso lah.

I think there is nothing wrong with the bulbs or fuse base on your description...but more likely a partially wiring connection that causes "transient" current load at random. This sudden surge of current (can be any ampere above rated load) load due to loose connection coming "on" and "off" would certainly cause this problem.

Suggest you check your H4 socket or wirings..even your headlamp switch (spray WD40 as dirt trapped in it can caused this 'defect'). Good luck.

Yes Yes.. Got more response when i squeeze. I tink my throttle is whispering to me "turn me turn me".. lolx

I tink progress will be better cos first tank I am excited how good the response is so just whack.. now back to normal riding style.. haha
