Ah pek,

 

need your advise.

 

After 4 1/2 yrs of riding, i notice my back suspension is giving rustly sound especially if i am with passenger.

 

can i tigthen the suspension?

If you are taking corner and the back does not wobble with extra load on, the spring is still useable. Id you are saying that the noise sounds like a spring babt craddle making the "eee..aiek" sound..just give it a spray of silicon or WD40 (works for me) as the sound comes from things rubbing. If you have any spring rebound step left to adjust, it helps too but give it some oil on the top and bottom assembly.

one thing im unsure of,just now i did my meter leds on my own so since i've dirtied my hand i checked the electrical of my bike.with an analogue multi-meter in hand,i check from the negative terminal of my batt to my body frame,there was connectivity...so i tot wow good the frame is grounded to the negative terminal.so i did likewise for the positive terminals.and to my shocking disbelief,there was connectivity too....doesnt that mean tat my bike's positive charge is leaking somewhere?(im still wondering)

feeling disappointed with my finding,i start the bike to warm it up b4 parking.while i was revving the engine,there was black smoke from my exhaust each time i high rev...wtf,my pipe is full of carbon deposits right?

Normally in the evening I'm not free unless very urgent..may be you pick an weekend day or smething.

 

As for ur finding..every vechicle have two type of ground..equipment and chassis. If there are different in -e potential itself..the more negative (--ve) becomes "+" and the norm negative (-ve) is a neagtive to that "--ve"..what we call a potential difference. U could be getting that.

 

Black smoke is "soot"..accumulated carbon soot when one right too slow...u need to clear exhaust. Rev hi (red line) and hold for a sec or two..be sure where eo is fairly new.

evening not free den day time can?hehehehe...coz if u free in the morning or afternoon oso can...coz due to werk commitment,i only got 1 weekend off...so that 1 weekend off is reserved for my family day....if on a weekday u free oso can lah...but if cannot nvm den i'll look for one weekend when im free i'll kol u.

Hi, my bike when cold start especially in the morning its very difficult to start. After reading the comments here, pressing the start button then pulling the choke will start the bike easily without throttling.

However if i ride my bike at constant low speed or in traffic, sometime theres a sudden quick drop of rpm while idling for a while that may result in engine dieing off. I notice this often happen if my headlight is on. I dun face this problem if i off my headlight, my voltage reading is correct off or on headlight.

Is it possible that my tuning is out? Cause if i ride on expressway, my idling is stable.

Any views on what is the possible causes?

Could it be ur battery going off soon??? Do check on it.. Had d same problem wen bike keep dying.. Abt d cold start.. Maybe can increase idling

I guees its electrical load design problem for your model and common in baby blade, CBR 400, RVF..etc. Check with Fx110, he has a baby blade too..he had encountered the elctrical loading problem like yours and he did quite a few mod here and there electrical wise.

For plastic and to bring back the semi gloss blackness..use silicon spray..something llike "New Bike In A can" from Maxima sold at Mustaffah..think its $17.50. Any other similar product like those wipe and rub type for car internal cockpit also helps. Get thise that have UV protection properties.

 

Rust can onlt be remove by sanding. Make sure you find the finest waterproof type...use it with water. Can get at most hardware store in HDB type.

Yes..have to have that otherwise your clutch may not be fully disenage in release status...clutch plates will wear fast.."clutch burrning"..much like half clutching without you knowing.

No fix answer..subjected to environmental conditions..like if exposed to rain often..the layer will wear off faster.

Can always call FJT, Chiong Aik or Ever Success for the whole jetting kit and add about $80 for labor. I believe you are changing this becasue you think its faulting your FC to be at 260km. It may or may not be but its could be an expensive way to find out.

 

FC is a very subjective matter and lots of factor can caused a bike to have bad FC. May be you wat to drop by Ah Fook shop and tell him your problem and also filled him in what you had done so far to get another opinion before comitting in spending further $$$s.

yeah like what ah pek said, very subjective. i spray it on my engine and my belly pan and those plastic area. seems to be very goood. i spray about 2 to 3 weeks once. a thin layer will do then just use a clean cloth and make the surface even.

 

other areas (tailboard/tank/front fender) i wash and wax though.

 

a good buy in my opinion.

hey guys me too got happy news for my bike...recently i got my tyres to the correct pressure....i turn the knob off after riding...now my bikes running 317km and haven hit reserve....=) previous tank only 294km start to booob booob booob...wonder which is the factor that help in my increase in mileage...
