yeah i was frankly quite amazed honda only manufactured so few - and most of them are sold in the philippines & some in russia. i think i've only seen 2 other such bikes on the road with the side emblem in the past 1 yr. if not for my gf's nagging that i have too many bikes (bicycles too), i'd surely keep!

hi ah pek, not sure if you remember me - you helped me to do grounding, eo + x1r, coolant change, lights for rpm/speedo assembly & headlight/fan switch many months ago. i'm riding the 50th anniversary ver s with the red stripes.

 

i've not been riding very frequently since then as i've been overseas quite a while & mostly drive when in sg. so i thought i'd sell this bike & get a class 2 tourer - probably a bmw or fz1. it's a half-hearted sale as i really like the bike a lot & have taken extremely good care of it, but @ the same time it's a big waste as it's parked in underground car park & covered (scared dusty) & only comes out once 1.5 wks or so. but i think the bike deserves an owner who will really use it properly.

 

anyway, do you know of anyone who's looking for a 50th anniversary ver s in particular? i guess i won't sell it below $4.5k seeing as i've put so much into the bike, so if i don't get any good offers i'll just keep it covered in my car park.

 

i remembered you said to let you know if i was selling cos you wanted my seng kwang crash bars, right? you also mentioned that you wanted the left/right switch assemblies on the handlebar? are you still keen on the parts?

 

i'll post more details abt the bike here later on, but bike is basically 100% stock.

 

Heh yah...remember you :0) Been awhile..thought what happened. Anyway..can't quite recalled about the parts you mentioned that I'm interested in really...but since you are here now, remember I forgot about the one switch that you need for replacement.

 

I don't understand..why would u wanna sell your S4 and have a tourer to part in an underground carpark?..isn't it still another bike kept in 'storage' and paying $s?

Just asking... If a bike experiencing a piston jam, the bike cannot move already uh? and can super 4 block be rebored and changed to a bigger size pistons?

 

Yes...and yes...but after rebore..the engine runs hotter due to bigger piston use and fc likely to increase.

guys, does anyone know where can i get those one piece crash bars? i can only manage to find those 3 piece ones.

 

Try Ah Fook at AMK Industrial Park 2..blk 5032 #295. It is call two point crash bar and is bolted to the chasis mountwhich supposingly correct.

Yes can..can get at any mototiam lah. I believe different in prices varies in quality. I don't have such thing lah..just that Ah Fook is nearby..but do call him first before going down. Seldom ppl keep accessories for stock.

hey guys...is there anyway to know or find out about ur carb setting whether is it too rich or too lean??? anyway ah pek...that time after the coolant patch...solid la...all in order...coolant lvl also nv drop...=) thanks!

yeah i haven't been riding a lot for the past few mths as i mostly drive, so the bike has been quite under-utilised. actually i managed to fix a headlamp switch by myself! thanks to you for pointing out the sim lim tower basement shops to me - i used heat shrink tube to waterproof the switch & it's been holding up well.

 

yeah i can't bear the thought of giving up riding completely so i gotta keep a bike for when throttle hand itchy. i figured if i'm only gg to keep 1 bike & use it once in a while, it might as well be a do-it-all tourer. the s4 is fantastic fun on local roads & even more fun to diy, but i brought it nsh once & it just can't maintain 150kph comfortably. hate to see it go, but i really do have too many bike (-cycles)!

 

anyway, do let me know if any of your friends are looking for this bike specifically. & let's meet up for some teck ghee kopi sometime - then you can also take a look @ my bike & see if you want the crashbar etc.

HehAhdon...have to bring the timing to 2.30pm in the afternoon liao...MP residential visit in the morning on Sunday. Call first before you come. Not sure how long these fellus gonna hang around the block.:sian:

Hello bros, Im wondering if my clutch plates are worn off. My first gear doesn't seem as strong as my 2nd gear. Like the pickup is stronger at 2nd gear. And my third gear sound like a turbine engine lol.

 

Can hear a soft mechanical whine, like from a supercharger. I'm also used to shifting gears quickly. Sometimes realise gear 3-4 doesn't engage properly.

if u wana maintain 150km/h n up ,u need to install a windwhield.im using puig windshield for my s4.....went touring with it , 160 maintain no problem.u need a good helmet also

anyway, thanks for the heads up just now. It was an irritating experience with a bikeshop in Jln Besar. After buying the hella horn, I thought I can go any shop to fix it. This shop along Jln Besar can KPKB, say must modify this and that, say that the cost is about $15. but he still seemed not wanting to do the job, instead asking me to get the original horn but spec 3, he claimed that one is louder. only when i hear that part, i know i'm getting conned.

 

thanks to Ah Pek's advice, I went back to Ah Fook to get it done. He just take a look around and get the job done with no KPKB for only $7.50. Worth my trip there and he's definitely gonna be my main mechanic for my newly-bought super 4. :thumb:
