Hey Guys, i have been experiencing hard to change gear recently. Very tight and cannot get into neutral (except after i power down the bike). Clutch plate and clutch cable relatively new, could it be chain and spocket problem? I haven been lubing and cleaning my chain. :D

How new is new? Change less than a month. Clutch cables might be adjusted wrongly. What XiaoBanz said engine oil.

Lubricate the cable and see how.

If possible, any solution on engine block crack?

Urs got crack meh?..how u know?..iszit oil or colour coolant coming out of one hole or both? To replace 2nd block replacement and without guarantee..prepare$850-$1000.00. To replace new block with short term guarantee against workmanship..prepare at least $1.6k and have to wait 3 months with no stock. Some mototiam does sealant patch as temporary solution..takes three days to do and cost about $380. U need cheaper help..pm God.

Mannn!...sound like u bought a real bad bike. Why never check?..previous owner gives u warranty of sure problems or not?..or was the bike damn helluvah cheap?

Usually difficult gear changes doesn't attribute to chain and sprocket. Maybe you have to ask your bike shop to help you oil your clutch cable. If not, you may want to check out your engine oil. Cos it also affects the gear changes.

Sorry to disagreed but chain tension does affect gear changes especially when its very loose. Also with regards to engine oil with smooth gear changing..its very partial only. With the right chain tension and without eo..shifting gears are just as smooth.

The caused: Tap water used..mixing with coolant causes rust from radiator which then accumulated over time on the walls of the hot coolant tubing which then causes constriction to coolant flow and causing heat build up that leads to overheating..especially when the thermostat get jammed and start to rust..same to the coolant pump also.

Also if the owner do not check and replenish coolant.

Hi GothRod,

ppl buy spec3 because of it age?? newer?

For the appearance, a version s can change n look like a spec3?

What is the main/common problem that occurs on a VersionS?

i got a oxford disc lock alarm but think gonna buy new one cause

the lock (where contact with the disc) kinda rusty due to rain..

I believe a 2-way alarm will be more worth it?

how much does it cost?? roughly?

thanks,

Lancez

Yes Version S can be changed to look like a spec 3. Just a conversion of the tailboard. Unique has a few conversion packages. As for 2 way alarm, spy alarms you can get from rabbit at $130-$150 in CMO. If you are looking for disc lock alarm, i would reccommend you XENA. Should not cost you more then $90. With regards to how fast your bike can get stolen. If you were to believe, less then a min. I saw it with my own eyes last year at JB. Bike i presumed was handlelocked and i remembered the guy turning on his alarm with the remote as i heard the sound. In less then a min the handlelock was disarmed, so was the alarm and it was on the lorry within a min. That was during the point of time when alot of our singapore s4's were stolen. No matter how many kinds of prevention measures you buy, your bike can still be stolen if they really have the knowledge, what this devices do is just deter the thieves, in terms of delaying the process. =)

speaking of coolant. iam still loving the coolant iam using bro. btw those who wanna see how it works go to ah pek. actually come to think of it engine ice looks way diluted. am i right ah pek? cause after your mixture there is the chemical reaction folllowed by the slight heat and then we start to notice the wave motion in the coolant. i have been noticing engine ice seems like clear water, no wave in the coolant mixture.

Clutch plate changed 1 year ago, clutch cable about 3 weeks and EO about 6 months.. So i guess its still new.. whereas my chain is in a terrible state, coz i "act smart" and spray WD40 on the chain..

Haha. It does not matter bro. If ur talking about bling. Meet me. Haha. See what I have on mine. For me I believe in fate. If it is ur luck, den it is. However, sometimes you decide your own fate. So for ne, I try to deter thieves by using the spy 2 way alarm with the sensitivity turned to high, bike covered with canvas and strapped tightly. At the end of the day like I said, no matter how you protect ur bike, if they wanna steal it, they will. Btw to those who have not tried ah peks eo, what ate u waiting for! Very hard to put it in words, all I can say is try to believe, btw iam at my 6000kn as of now and still running smooth as hell. Gonna visit ah pek shortly to try his new invention though, if not for that I'll come back only after 10000km. :)

Analog Voltmeter can be found at Ah Gua Lane aka Lorong Bapok at JB like Ah Pek mentioned. Go to the row of shops there. Be sure to compare prices before purchasing. Silencer loose could be due to many reasons, lousy packing of fibre or loose screw like you mentioned. For digital voltmeters i'd recommend Shadow or DynamyX. Should not cost more then $40. For Brakepads if you don't mind spending get EBC, if you are on a slight budget, get Goldfren.

Hi, just bought myself a S4 version S. I had previously owned PB1 and Version R before. I simply love Super 4 :)

Anyway I tried searching but couldn't find real answer. The question is- Can Version S be fitted with main stand. I know the answer is Yes, but I would like to know where and how... also roughly how much it will cost. I love PB1 with main stand and would like version S to have 1 as well, easy to do everything when on main stand.

Another question is I want to raise the handle bar height by 2-3". I see that Phantom handle bar might do the job but quickly realise that probably I would need longer front brake hose, clutch cable, trottle cable. Anyone done this before and can advise which shop does this? I am trying to get a more upright riding position... me old already lah need a more relax posture.

Thanks for reading and helping me with my 2 question on main stand and handle bar. Thanks thanks.
