Not strong enuf to lift the front on my own but the bike does indeed feel heavy when i push frm stationary...any idea why?

 

Also where to adjust the idling anyway...morning my bike idling kinda low then usual...

 

put it on the side stand and lift it sideways to the left, front wheel will be lifted and ask another person to try and spin it.

 

i suspect your wheel bearing might be damaged. making the wheel harder to turn. usually it will be accompanied by some squeaking sound coming from the caliper touching the disc. if front wheel bearing, when you push the bike, your fork will dip like as if its under braking and the same for the rear wheel. sometimes you might think your brake caliper is partially jammed. happened to me 2 weeks ago and i initially thought my caliper jammed. wheel bearing broken, wheel shaft jammed, nut damaged and speedo meter damaged.ouchies.

Damn ur damage sounds expensive

 

My initial thought was caliper problem as well cuz i jz changed brake line a few days ago thought the mech might fix back the caliper wrongly...but tat doesnt explain the irregular revving when idling...start bike rpm below 1 then seconds later on its own suddenly rev up to above 1.5 and minutes later dies dwn idling goes down to 1 then up again moments later...tis self revving goes on n on on its own...got the feeling it might be carb tuning prob or sumting ...hope its noting serious..

 

U can get it from "Performance Motor" (BMW Agent) along at Bukit Timah road. Use to be $20..now slightly more I think bekuz too many S4 rider popularised it...ha....x3!

 

Ah pek is tat price a typo error? Missing one more zero izzit? Wit tat kind of price ( or slightly more now as u mentioned) and the raves it received among the bike community i wonder why ppl even bother looking elsewhere heh heh heh

Bro,led oso can pass...as long as u change the signal relay so it will blink normal:)but if u wan to play safe,i got oem vtec signal light..

Hi Ah Pek thanks alot for my first appointment with you. I can feel the engine run very smooth after change with your specific mixture engine oil and coolant. Now my bike also gain more power which you has done the proper grounding. You treating my bike like your bike as well as I am the owner. I like the way your explanation, checking and testing the bike system especially for the rectifier and coil. It's showed that you don't want to change the unnecessary things. But I am no lucky when you verified my coil really spoil after testing and checking several times. I got no choice, that is compulsory if not my battery will no longer to supply the power.

 

I only a bit disappointed with one of your friend motoshop that you had recommend me to change the coil. However thanks because you has warn me before go there. You are correct man "when it come to business both of you will clash".

No...not a typo error..it's $20 I got and its one of the S4 rider who got it for me...actually used to be $18 only...now is $22 from the last person I know who bought a set.

LOL!..so everyone who visited him b4 better asked for quote in "Total" first..happen once too many times already. Sometimes I can't blame mototiam like that its because when busy is goo..or bad and landlords increases rental..that's where all it started. Hahaha.... If he continuously adopt the unreasonable trick to gain extra income, he will lost the customers, it's miserable.

Just now I went to LAB. However, the flash relay cost so much expensive then what you told me. They quote me $28 so I haven't not purchase it yet. In the mean time I just DIY it. No budget liao for now. Furthermore I have spend quite a sum of money changing the parts.

Ahpek, that day I DIY flush coolant, I press the rubber hoses got biscuit cracking sound liao. I press try to break the rust as much as possible stuck and tap and washed the broken rust.

This rust, does it come from the radiator? I also notice my thermostat rusting.

Hope u took off the hose and do it otherwise all the loose flakes goes into ur radiator. Yeap..they are from radiator and due to tap water use. Mine almost 16 years liao..no rust at all because neevr use tap water for coolant mix...heee....x3!

 

Take o the thermostat..replace or don't oso can but each has its advantage.

Go Seng Kwang..they can do anything. Btw...what Vtec 2 is that that got stainless steel pipe?..or is it previous owner got it from a PB1?

Typically how much is a thermostat? I know if take out thermostat the engine takes longer to warm up. I asked around for orig honda radiator. 300+ lol. Might as well bring to repair shop ask them change tubing and fins.

Actually da vtec 2 owner buy a stainless steel header from moto tiam and want to sell, dunno wheather cn be fix to ver s.

Other than if its from a PB1...its mostly just a stright thru hollow pipe..don't recommend lah. If u stil wan..ask the shop that sell to get it fix for u.

Ah Pek, can i just change the 4 jet pit without washing the carb since u did for me already? i was advise to change my 4 pits by the workshop ..... What about turning?

That's provided they don't charge u for not doing it. Normally when its open..they would usually wash clean it..they too have to balance all the 4 carbs after assembling them back. The chances of them asking u to change the float pin is very likely too..better see nothing is purposely damage to make u having to change further parts..the jet and float thingy is a 1 tem x4 in numbers.

Ah Pek can Spec III rear fender fit Ver S?

 

Not without some mod to mounting accessories to be used though. Save $s lah..why wana do just to look stylo_milo..ur bike won't go any faster. Look garan_garan then loose out like lan_lan like dat..LOL!

No u can't...wiring all different to the main hardness.

how much and where have you purchased the voltage stabilizer (powerMax2) Im really interested to install on my bike Honda CB400F (NC27)

hi,

i bought my FR Version S last sep at 2.8k frm private seller. COE till 2009,COE not yet renew. Insurance mitsu,3rd party only($350).

 

Bike sound cheap but was in a miserable state...lots of tear and wear to replace...

 

1) handle bar(bent)

2) balancers(missin)

3) tires(Harden)

4) chains and spocket(canot make it)

5) respray(paint work gone)

6) seat rewrap(old one got holes)

7) valve clearence

8) magnetic coil(not chargin enuff power,batt keep getting flat)

9) block gasket(engine oil leaking)

10) timing chain(the tick tick sound everybody's complaining)

and more,forgot some of the things.

Total up : +/- $1500

 

 

to sino74 : u bought u super 4 frm shop,if so..actually quite cheap le..COE renewed somemore..insurance cheaper than mine..

Ah Pek 2day bad day for me...morning bike can start but die immediately...throttle abit die again...try to whack oso like no respond rpm increase sooooo slow really draggy throughout...close throttle rpm go dwn quickly then engine die...15 mins start, die, start, die, start, die, one time manage to whack lots of black smoke come out then bike better abit...let it warm up then try to ride off move up slope in mscp it happen again...rpm shoot down followed by bike stalled...then repeat procedure start bike immediately die again...throttle abit die again...try to whack oso like no respond rpm increase sooooo slow really draggy throughout...close throttle rpm go dwn quickly then engine die...give up take my other bike go work...haiz
