hi all, today i found out my front wheel the right side, the circular hollow hole where wheel bearings is placed, is being sort of like chipped off, some sort like 5 cm cheap off which i can see the bearings being exposed. any idea what impact will it have? cause recently found my bike handling abit weird when slow moving n going in between cars will feel like "unstable" some sort like slanting to one side. any ideas?

Hey guys, wanna ask, my bike when shifting gears from 1st - 4th has the loud "tak" sound usually above rpm 4k. Is there a possibility to eliminate this or is it caused by wear and tear parts? Replies would be appreciated much.

On my experience, The TAK TAK sound could be eliminated when u clutch in & change gear at ALMOST the same time-> of course clutching in comes first..within split second got to shift gear liao. Needs a lot of practice bro.

Not like a class 2B bike.. whereby u can clutch in and take your time to shift gear without the TAK TAK sound.

Hi all,

haven't been riding my PB1 for a while till recently. Noticed a gluey yellowish leak under the bike, very much like thickened honey. Took it to a moto diam and was told my CDI going to heaven and a brand new one from BS is about 580++ if I remembered correctly.

Anyone knows where can I get quality re-con/scrap CDI? BTW, pardon my noob, but if I don't change the CDI, what's the worst that can happen?

Thanks all.

This is just the epoxy..use to protect the CDI circuitry design being copied melting. The epoxy has reached its 'life span' of bonding together. THERE IS NO NEED TO REPLACED UR CDI..just keep using it.

NICE!!! Just keep keep using it like wat ah pek said...i had tat problem too and 2 yrs down the road the cdi is still werking fine... If u find it an eyesore, u can just cover it up with plastic bag or cloth to prevent the gummy stuff from dripping.

Its dripping due to the epoxy being heated by the engine heat.so no matter what it'll drip again unless u reroute ur cdi away from ur engine.

thanks for the advise, Ah Pek!!

can i ask, my bike's rpm is usually below 1rpm and dies off easily. Do i need to service my carburattor? is there a way to rev up the tuning?

Try increasing ur idling for rpm. Its a flower castle like screw dial in between the two middle carbs. From the left side of ur bike, get to the screw dial and turn clockwise (increase). Do this when after ur bike warms up. Increase to value at 1.3-1.5 krpm.

Try this first the next time it happens...sit on ur bike, clutch in and shift into 2nd gear...reserve backwards as fast as u can two to three steps pushing backward..when u pick up speed, release the clutch lever abruptly and u should hear a "whine" sound from the starter motor. Now, shift back neutral, on the bike and start as usual. If this works for u..likely its ur carbon brush in the starter motor need to be change.

The other possible problem could be ur switch assembly may be clogged with debris and dirt washed down by rain water thru the gaps. Spray some WD40 inside..better still half open the two halves by unscrewing two philip screws below half way and pry open for gaps to spray the inside thoroughly. Good luck...if still cannot..post here for other rectification solutions.

Great to know its not the CDI, otherwise served as mutton chop at bike shop.

Anyway, The epoxy melts as it reaches its life span of bonding tgr - does it mean we dont have to do anything about it? Pardon for my noob; Since its bonding something tgr, something will break apart from another right? So what do i do for such?? still need to protect the CDI mah..
