Perhaps u wanna tell us what version is ur S4? As for the first question...can u be more specific..what u meant by not smooth?

 

spec 3, s4. it feels kinda hard n a little spongy.

If u have balancer at the end of ur handle bar..ur rubber grip may be touching against it..rectiied this by cutting a bit more of the rubber grip end off or loosen ur balancer locking screw/allen ket a bit looser. The first option is preferred. If this is not the case..check your throttle cable and see if it's loose as in no "torsion" or the way its run under the tank is wrong.

Hi bros, anyone change the ignotion set before?? Im riding a vers s... I lost my masterkeys for my ignition, fuel cap and seat lock... Die die!! Any suggestions??

 

i happen to have a spare whole set for version s.... you want?

96914454...$90 including the metal fuel cap, ignition key assembly, open seats lock set, plus 2 keys...COD...

anyone replaced the meter before? i googled and found out it usually comes in a set consisting of the speedo, tacho and indicator lights. tentatively, my mechanic says need to replace the speedo meter only, not the whole set. well, if its only replacing the speedo cable, i'm fine with it, but if need to replace the whole thing, its going to cost me more than $200

 

i can get the whole thing brand new for $200, if interested, pm me for more info bro.

Hello Ah Pek, changed less than a year. U think is spark plug problem?

 

One of the possibility but not definitely that's why I asked. Spark Plugs like EO..they don't have fixed mileage or period in time as when to be changed. All EO and spark plug wear down and tear depends on how they are used..like if you make frequent long distance trip, continuos ride or play track.these things are subjected to prolong heating and reliability and spec performance wise, they deteriorate at faster rate. A weak spark due to due to widening of the gap between the electrode earth and core can be 'drowned' by the fuel coming in thus causing a 'misfire' like farting of the exhaust...just my take on ur case.

morning , any buddy here has preferred bike shop to go to for S4 repairs ?

just taken over a Version S and lots to be done zzz

fork oil seal leaking, gaskets leaking and Carbs tuning are the prime of my issues

will prefer not to leave bike overnite as i need for work

 

my current bike shop needs it to be placed there for a week to rectified those issues .

i think bikeshop cant solve all this for u in one day... carb service for shop need 2 to 3 hrs liao... else u have to go every sat to bikeshop to solve one by 1.

Hi bros, just got my ver s 50th anniversary bike last week.. when parked on side stand, my bike slants so much that makes me "eat" into the lot beside or barely touching the box/side mirrors of the bike parked beside mine.. any solutions to this? Was qouted $85 for a new side stand which i think might nt necessarily solve this problem?

 

Can go to Ubi...

Find Ah Chong Planet Motor, he will direct u to the shop behinbd to weld bearing to 'heighten' the side stand...

Cheapest alternative think $20 should do it....

unless yr stand sibei jialat lah...

Likely hood to be oem aka chong bah...

unless 2nd hand original...

Chong meter hear quite a few neg feedbacks....

if really bo bian aka no choice then use chong if nt stick wif originals...

 

Certain stuff are ok to use oem nt all....

i usually 'test' out the stuff b4 I rec to others...

its all oem... if you want orginal, please visit FJT shop from Rowell road at little india road, for ALL original honda spare parts.

Those ask for fun and not sincere, no need waste your time and mine.

i also provide fixing of led light around the 2 meters, can audit my bike before commit

Just realised Imissed out ur post here. If u have never bleed ur brake fluid b4..trying so might help...could be condensation water in the fluid..oso lubricate the kit pump and screw area.

Hi guys,

 

Looks like i have to replace my starter carbon thing already..

 

All the synptoms like got lights, got horn, can push start but cant crank happening to me..

 

Any reccomendations as to where i can replace it? And the price roughly?

 

Current temporary solution is by knocking the area with a screwdriver.. :(

 

Dont want to live with it for too long.. haha

 

And is there a need to do a coolant flush while replacing the starter carbon thing?

Looks more to me its just the canister undercover cap and the hole was created to did out the cap..no harm. There is no oil in the canister but gas. Anway..u need to service it as the oil is from the oil seal. Mention my name otherwise he may charge more.

Hi Ah Pek, i'm vincent here. i have problems here. hopefully is small pls! haha! what is the tick tick sound coming form the right side of the bike? warming and on the move all the way still got the sound and coolant is leaking for the bottom left corner of radiator. Every morning will find small patch of coolant on the ground. Hmm, will it affects anything to the bike yet? thanks for ur help! =)

Eventually after a week or two it likely goes away..if it doen't and get even louder..it's time to replace one of two of them.

 

"coolant is leaking for the bottom left corner of radiator" >> be better shown with a photo but if it's leaking at the joint where it's konnected with a rubber hose..the clamping clip screw may be loose..otherwise could be a cracked rubber hose. if it's not at the hose joint area and/but the radiator itself..likely it's punctured by internal rusting from inside out. If it's a small hole..just use steel epoxy mixtures to patch it (do not do aluminium weld..expensive and one day other places might leak some day). U've to locate the EXACT spot where it leaks..only during when engine is very hot where the coolant temp gets high where hi pressure would force the coolant out.

There are 16...better not though..it consider top head overhaul...cost up to $400-$600..beside changing shims, u may have to take the opportunity to gring valves..change spring or valve spacer etc. It's on ur right hand side cover under the seat..u need a size 5 allen key to take off the cover and should find a semi translucent placric container..that's ur coolant reserve tank...top ot up to at least above slight the second upper line.
