Anyone having the same experience as me? Engine gets hot easily travelling from seletar airport to tampines? By the time reach carpark fan on..Riding at 100 to 110 kph.. Due to the hot weather? Or is it bcoz im using hot plugs? Ngk iridium btw.. Coolant flush last month.. Or isit due to engine oil on the low level side? Or mayb i juz return from long riding trip from malacca? It doesnt makes sense if tats the reason coz after clearing carbon on NS highway bike got better fuel milage.. Coz before this fan seldom on... Coolant level check in between high n low.. leakage is the most common and critical for all old bikes. can be fork, engine block & side cases, carbs, radiator, hoses and more.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Hi all,

Need some help. My Neutral indicator doesn't light up so i have to play with clutch to make sure its in Neutral gear. Asked my bikeshop and mechanic says i have to buy new light/wire/indicator set that cost bout over $100. Is this correct cuz i know some bikeshops tend to get you change everything whereas only single part is faulty. Thanks in advance. Cheers. (Version S)

There are 4 T5 (small size) bubs in ur meter assmbly. Could just be ur 50 cents bulb.

The part is cheap but the labor is intensive somewhat. Better to DIY and change all the four bulbs (one hi-beam, two signal and one netural) at the same time. Like the cost is about $20 to $25 as it can be time consuming. DIY by lowering ur headlamp...access and open up the lower 3 meter covers 9two plastic chromes and one black), unbolt the 3 size 8 lock nut and lift the front of the meter casing off. If u don't want to lift off...can try using long nose plier to access the four buld rubber (grey color) socket..difficult but not impossible.

That's a freaking bad tyre when it reach almost half life (tends to harden)...better run on lower air pressure.

Worth it to get 4 by 1 and dynojet for Version S? Anyone got experience? If its not that much different from stock form then I wouldn't bother.

Why increase fuel consumption and spend so much monies for a few 'horsepower' (not true horsepower but better acceleration to powerband) more if u can spend less than 1/4 of it with proper grounding and good EO to achieve the same thing..afterall, it's only 53 horsepower. True performance and real horsepower can only be had if you rebore oversize with use of larger piston, then again ur cooling system be below specs and bike woun't last due to stress from heat..etc....better off save the money for a class 2 bike.

If the mods don't justify the improvement in power then I wouldn't see a point to do it, if a 4 by 2 by 1 changed to a 4 by 1 and I get like 3-5 ponies, there's not much of a point, if I get 10 then its still something to consider.

Well its just consideration, I'm not using it for long...then again, I have a tendency to mod every ride I have.

Shifting the powerband to upper revs would be nice tho :)

Hi All, I got a Version S 2 months back. I recently realise my coolant is leaking. May I know around how much it cost to repair coolant leakage?

Ah Pek, I saw some coolant water at the left side of the top of engine. But I couldn't find where it is leaking. I have a friend who have look for you for his engine oil, grounding and flush coolant. He have also introduce me to look for you.

Ok...sound like its coming from rubber hose or the joint at the thermostat housing. Something u can DIY to check first. After a ride to make sure that the coolant is hot..take off ur tank and look at the left side just above the engine block..see if any hose is cracked, loose..or the locking circlip that locks the hose to the thermostat housing is not loose. Note that u can see leak only when coolant is really hot due to heat pressure.

Thanks Ah Pek. I will try and see if I am able to find the actual leaking place...

The previous owner told me that abit oil on the floor is normal. Haven't went bike shop yet as bike laid up now. I change a new parking slot and realise there is also black oil on the floor below engine. What might be the cause?
