i just bought Version S. what 4T is recommended for Version S? bought the iridium spark plug, is it useful? my version s gives me abt 200km for 1 full tank, is this ok? anything to improve the bike fuel consumption?

Ur full tank is 18 litres...reserve is 3 litres..u should be using 15 litres not 11.39 litres...so?..git? If u are reading from ur fuel gauge which likely the needle shows "E"..don't worry about it..it just a guide. Since non Vtec bike like ur Version S has a fuel kock that can switch over to reserve mode..use it..that's, right till the bike jerks and than switch over..that's ur real time when u hit reserve.

Hi just had my version s carburetor washed and service and now my bike stalls when i start cold. I need to throttle for a 30s before it will settle into a steady idle. Any idea what is causing this?

Can use ah pek EO or use something thicker like 10w-50. I'm using chex 9000. Ver s no need to spend on EO so much, mine can hit at least 270km but 300 no issue, think floater in your fuel tank haywire already like mine. Improve fc, service your air filter ah.

 

Btw on a side note, need help from any electrical expert, my fan refuse to spin ad tried grounding the fan thermostat wire with the engine to jump start the fan, also nothing. Then my mech check, one of the wire for the fan is short with the ground somewhere in the bike. Haven't fix it yet and everytime put new fuse, it blew so now that wire no fuse. Is it possible for me to just manually hook up fan to my battery directly? Its a pain when in stuck at traffic jam and fan not spinning and temp light goes on.

Hi guys... Need help. My engine oil is leaking. Mechanic says the oil seal at the Back of the chain is causing it. And that I would have to do an overhaul to replace it. Is there an alternative solution to that?

Bike sound cheap but was in a miserable state...lots of tear and wear to replace...

EO means engine oil. Floater can be fix if you have $$ but we can live with it, like me, i didn't fixed it. I pump 95 for my ver s.

1) Make sure the next coolant u put in is not mixed with tap water and has anti-rust agent.

2) If thermostat has been changed before or taken out..unlikely ur propblem is not caused by this.

3) If ur radiator is an old one and has rusted brownish coolant found in ur reserve tank b4..likely the radiator tubing is badly rusted and causing constritivce flow..thus heat builds up faster than being cooled on time. Yes..have to change raditaor.

4) Since u mentioned fan is turning..radiator fan switch and water temperaure sensor should be okay..so is the pump that u mentioned.

5) The other possibility is that ur EO may not be enough or at too low a level. I had come across 3 cases where a certain brand of eo was used dropped to 0.5 to nought from 3.2 litres.

 

Hi i would like to know lets say if i wanna change radiator do i have to change the radiator hoses itself together or just the radiator only will do or just change the radiator hoses (coolant hose)??? Anyone else can also advice on this will be much appreciated. Thanks

Hoses if harden need to change. Cos it can crack and leak. No need to spend on Samco silicone based hoses,not cheap and I feel it's more for track based machine or if you pushing your machine to the limit. Coolant might as well just flushed.

just changed my spark plugs n realised my plugs all corroded. so difficult to screw in the new spark plugs. n saw some EO on the plugs. so i guess casket need to change.

 

i saw many ppl mentioned abt unique motor, is it recommended especially for S4?

i just brought a pb1 on 1 dec.

after riding for almost a week.

 

found that

rpm from 1 to 5000 at 60 km/h

since that my engine is dragging and lagging.

must travel around 6

to 6500 90km/h and above

then the ride is smooth.

after reading from this forum

decide to call ah pek for grounding.

ah pek recommend eo change bcos i going to thailand betong.

 

on 8 dec.

 

change eo nano pkg

plus grounding.

 

no ridiNg for 3 days.

found that my throthing from

1 to 5000

is smooth.

 

hit 90km/h

at rpm 5000.

 

when slow down. the engine is more gradual and not dragging like before.

Anyone here using Arashi brake rotors? How do they perform?

Mine discs are warped, shop offered 250-350$ for a pair but i found 200$ on ebay. Anyone know which shop selling cheaper?

i'm riding a pb1..

 

i'm thinking of changing my tires to pilot power.. but they only have stock for 120/60-17 front, 160/60-17 rear.. will it fit?

 

from i see the swing arm like cannot take anything bigger already.. i'm using a rear 150/60 now...
