speaking of exhaust. does the size of the outlet affects? length etc? cos i heard something like smaller hole for pickup etc.

Yes it does affect. Layman term, small hole or longer length equal more air restriction which will help low end pick up. But it will affect the top end. And if bigger hole will means poor low end and better top end.

On top of that cannot be too small else bad of engine else for those with high compression. And angle of flow make some difference. Aka high mount usually Nt so gd.

Would u recommend a new busa or old busa?

Thank you so much in advance!

Its always good to buy new so lesser wear n tear for the first few years.

But ppl like me, juz buy 2nd hands ones will do. Preferably when u actually know the owners.

Mileage not important if the owners down regular servicing. Minor n major ones.

Normal servicing. 4 x plugs. 3.1l 4t, oil filter.

Make sure put aside some cash for emergency as parts for this beast can still burn a hole in ur pocket when u r not prepared.

N after long n stubborn road I now realise that stock is the best lar.

Its Cheaper to buy from owner but no warrenty is given.

Shop will say all kinds of promises. If not written in black n white. U can forget all those warrantys. They wont do a full overhaul for u. Dream on.

Basicly used bikes is always a risk. Depend on ur homework done n luck.

Gd luck!

Aspirated, im just trying to be humble. I wanted a general idea of the busa maintenance n finances.

I do not to go in blind and unprepared like when i was 18 n bought aprilia RS125 during NS.

I didnt know anything. SBF wasnt in around back then, only N-Gage.

All this while i have been sharing a fazer then a CBR 1000 with my bro.

Since i need a new bike i tot get advice about a Hayabusa.

Im gonna buy myself a Busa. So here i am hoping to get abit that advice in abit more detail.

Plse dont flame me.

thanks for clearing doubts.

high compression referring to bikes like?

Angle make big diff....

tappered meaning convergent or divergent? or are we at the same frequency?

btw. just a question. does a 1k or 1.3k cc bike has faster pickup? i thought 1k cc bike lighter so pickup faster?

Be it Conver or Diver.. dont tik we r in same frequency..

Weight vs Power vs Pulling force/Bike Vs Compression Vs Torque ...

i saw a stock busa TEAR a GSXR 1000 apart... like a piece of paper during a launching game... is ur call... u tik N figure.... :thumb:

Since you own big bikes before, you should roughly have an idea. It not much different from other big bike. Unless your bro is the one paying for the maintenance.

Finance wise, if you have the cash, then cashing out one will be the most ideal. If not, try to down as much as possible to a point where you can resell the bike almost immediately without topping up cash. Then you need to set aside cash for incase. I would say at least a few k. A bad accident repair may cost you $3k and above. Minor repairs may cost a few hundreds.

Do you mean a busa tearing apart a black k5???

high compression referring to bikes like?

Sport bike usually have high compression to deliver more power per combustion. A 600cc like R6 have a rather high compression. Usually 1000cc and 1300cc have a lower compression compared to a 600cc. Higher CC + Higher compression = Higher stress.

tappered meaning convergent or divergent? or are we at the same frequency?

Tappered simply means the inner diameter from small to big. Usually smaller right after the engine output then slowly become bigger. One good example is the Micron Serpent.

btw. just a question. does a 1k or 1.3k cc bike has faster pickup? i thought 1k cc bike lighter so pickup faster?

This one depends on the bike and rider. A normal rider whom do normal pickup may find a 1000cc bike faster, like me. However like what Nok97 mentioned, with a good rider, the busa can be faster than a 1000cc during launching. But usually when you play launching, you need to rev to a certain RPM and maintain half clutch to get ready for the launch. I don't think you will do that at every traffic light.
