The zx14 is very tempting but I think hayabusa parts are probably easier to find?

Any possibility of a new gen 2 busa below $30k? My 07 busa was $24k otr.... miss those days....

Suzuki parts easier to source in Sg. Kawa parts can be sourced from JB, just slightly more hassle. Don't think you will change parts often as well.

When Gen 2 was newly lauched, K8 and K9 was selling at less than 30k OTR. I bought mine at around 27K OTR. Last I heard the new Gen 2 are selling above 30k OTR which I don't think it justify the price. Loois quoted me the new '12 ZZR14 at 32k OTR only. He say promo price. Don't know true or not cause market price is around 35K OTR. If it is true, I rather throw my money on a more high tech ZZR14.

Last time bike price is indeed much cheaper. I got my 600 at 18K OTR. Now a 600 easily cost 24K OTR. But the Yen did increased almost 30% since 2008.....

ok guys, gotta try my luck here. Was wondering if anyone of you have / know anyone else who have spare gen 1 busa rider & passenger seats to lend me / rent to me.

The duration of the lending period / rental period would most likely be 2 months max.

Reason for this, I'm sending my 2 seats to California to get it upgraded to Tobin's / New Image custom driver and passenger seat and it'll take them probably 2 months to ship it back to me. So during this time, my bike would be without seats which I feel won't be too good because my bike is usually parked at the HDB open air carparks covered with the bike cover that's all. I'm afraid that if I were to go without seats and just use plastics / other ways to cover the electrical component area, water may still seep in causing the components to fail.

So having another seat would be best (avoid damage from rain) and I could also ride during the time my seats are away.

Any kind soul here have that additional pair to lend / rent me? :)

How much is the cost to rewrap including shipping? I am also considering. By the way, why you did not consider our local Eugene saddery? But they will only cut your stock cushion and rewrap it with the original seat cover.

For the spare seat, I can't help you. But you could use the single seater so you no need to borrow the pillion seat.

$32K is a good price for the zzr1400. If I can get the same quote from Looi's by the time I get back home from deployment, I sure grab! :D

Honestly I'm still researching. Where is this Eugene saddery? I shall pay him a visit.

Price wise is usd$295 + USD$45.20 shipping for 2x seats

USD$160 + USD$45.2 shipping for 1x seat

I know of one guy who sent his seat to Eugene, but to summarise it he cant do it.

If he had a sample, most probably no problem.

I have seen similar ones, but the shape is weird.

Tobin,is taken over or renamed by New image seats. Not sure though

I see. I've emailed Lee from New Image. Awaiting his response on the cost, shipping fees as well the time to get it done + shipped back to SGP.

Kinwei, the price that I quoted earlier was from Pashnit's website. But Pashnit is the middle person so the cost of the seats are more expensive. By contacting Lee from New Image, I'm effectively lessing away the cost of the middleman for this case. I'll be able to save slight more that's all.

I'd like to know which is the best windscreen to get too. My zero gravity touring windscreen don't seem to be the ideal windscreen for high speeds. I felt my windscreen shrudder at high speeds & the wind does not flow along the top contours of my helmet very well thereby causing my helmet to vibrate violently at certain angles.
