Never try this one for a simple reason, it look too tall and out of the place. But Pashit, the online seller, has been using this windshield for his touring trip and he has positive review on it. But then he is selling it, so...... Anyway I think you will have to trial and error for the windshield. Rider height and built play a part too.

I personally tried Puig (windblasting on shoulder and head = bad), Power Bronze (less windblast on shoulder which is good but helmet kanna wind buffering causing it to shake) and then MRA Vario (Everything solved but now like less wind to "support" my body during high speed resulting in more arm power used to support the body).

Another reason for choosing the MRA Vario is because I don't want to trial and error again. The Vario got an adjustable spoiler, so I could adjust until I get the one I feel is perfect. The risk level is lesser.

Try MRA Vario. It did solved my helmet vibrate problem. But I'm only 1.75m while you are 1.85m. Don't know if it will work for you.

Zero Gravity is well known for it optic clarity, maybe that why it is thin. Supposing you can see thru the windshield clearly when you hide behind it during high speed. But then as a rider, how often do you actually look thru the windshield? For me, I always peek thru above the tip of my windshield unless I'm riding a goldwing then different liao.

thanks man... i was refering to the zero gravity touring in the pic... i saw a pic of it on a gen2 by a guy online in US too, looks nice but since feedback isnt that good, means im 101% change to a MRA VARIO with the spoiler, people say it loos ugly but to hell with that, i want eh comfort more than the looks as in singapore i can always use stock if i have no choice... haha... btw where you got it from and how much..?

was told by ebay seller that my replacement rotors are otw. left and right

they did say it may be only one rotors faulty. so gonna send it to shop to really do a check of which one thus replacing side only.

then will let go of the new brake rotor (1 side) at a real cheap price.

intending to get my shipping, labour and gst cost back only. not looking for a profit.

I currently have 3 auto tensioners and one timing chain guide all in good working conditions.

Dont ask me why i got so many lol.Need some time to post them all up.

ohh.. engine parts.. Pardon me I don't know if I have a need for them now. Perhaps you can give me advice?

Mileage now 32500km, 6 years old bike. Need to have my auto tensioners & timing chain replaced? I know for cars, usually when the mileage is 80k - 100k then need to change. Is it the same for our bikes?

Sorry me really noob on such knowledge..

Malacca during the weekends, bad traffic jam.Other places i will consider

Yaa!!! That day when I rode into Malacca with Laguna11, the traffic was quite heavy.

Honestly its because of my lack of knowledge of the roads in and around NSHW, that's why I'm only suggesting Malacca. If you have a better place that we can ride to I really don't find.

Sheesh.. I feel damn noob now man! :cheeky:

Bro, I'm using the ZG touring windscreen on my busa gen 1 now and IMO, it's not ideal for riding at high speeds. Like what kinwei mentioned in his previous post, ZG is known for it's optic quality (for riders to see thru the windscreen) hence the material might be light (unable to really resist the high pressure from high speed riding - in the context of a touring windscreen).

Also, IMO the wind distribution for ZG touring windscreen isn't optimum / consistent (how you call it) thereby causing the rider's helmet to vibrate violently & at times the windscreen itself would shrudder.

I'm seriously considering to get mine replaced. Didn't have such problem previously when I used the ZG double bubble series of windscreen thou. Looks better too!

my 2 cents worth.

To the guys who uses Arai helmets, may I ask how's the soundproofing quality? Ok, the reason for asking this is because I recently acquired Arai Astro IQ helmet from Japan.

Used it for the 1st time when I rode up to Malacca with Laguna11. During the course of riding, I went (almost) partially deaf on the right side of my ears.

My observation was that during the ride;

(1) I did not fully hide behind my touring ZG windscreen 190-210km/h,

(2) Hide behind the windscreen but experience violent vibration on my helmet when I attempted to peek above the windscreen at 220-260km/h

Questions here are;

(a) Is this helmet lousy or what?

(b) Did the violent vibration that I experience on my helmet had an adverse effect thereby causing my partial deafness?

© Do you think it has something to do with my windscreen etc?

(d) I remember hitting 300km/h on a HJC helmet many years ago and I didn't have such problem (this was using the ZG double bubble windscreen) - again, do you think that the air flow was better distributed on the double bubble windscreen thereby reducing the noise within the helmet?

Not sure for other model, I only use RX7-RR5

My first NSHW trip is with stock windscreen with tank bag mounted on my tank so can't tuck in all the way, after 140kmph helmet vibrate violently.. Wind noise still acceptable.

2nd trip, with ZG double bubble and tank bag mounted, able to reach 220kmph without fully tuck in..

Wind noise still ok..

Reach 240kmph nearly fly off.. -__-"

as can't tuck in..

3rd trip, with ZG double bubble no tank bag mounted, hit 300kmph fully tuck in..

Conclusion, Arai is not the quietest helmet in the market but IMO RR5 average for the windnoise, super comfy cusion.

On the other hand, my friend using Shoei X-11

Heard Shoei has one of the quietest helmet..

at the speed u are riding, u should already be wearing ear plugs bro.

even pro racers use ear plugs.

usually on the aspect of "sound proofing" , its individual view.

do you wear ear plugs when travelling at those kinda speeds? Like i mentioned, I really didn't have this problem previously. Perhaps I should get myself a pair of ear plugs.

If follow guidelines from the manual, you dont need to do top overhaul.

But than again,it depends how hardcore as a rider are you?

You got to guage for yourself.

I just bought a new pair of ear plugs as a sample, tested and proven it really shuts away all the noises and it's comfortable.

Havent tried riding, but i can forsee it will work perfectly.

Lesser fatigue and great for your ear drums, during long distance trips.

I got it at $200 from Motoworld. Standard lead time is 3 months or 90 days which is quite normal for indent item. I got it swee swee on the 3rd months. Just remember MW will quote you $220~$240 at first. Haggle for a lower price. I remember 2 years ago I check with them, they quoted me $180. But when I go buy from them a year later, price went up. $200 is the lowest they can sell. You can try aim for $180 bah.

It all aero dynamic. Helmet design + windshield + wind direction will give you mixed result. You will be surprise the stock windshield will give you least helmet vibration. Mainly because stock is very low. Basically the wind will hit your helmet directly. If you use a tall windshield, the wind will be directly a certain angle upwards thus maybe causing it to hit your helmet at a direction which it is not design for, thus causing undesirable wind buffering (something like air turbulance) which cause the vibration.

I worn Arai RX7-RR4 before, noise level is generally bad. But I always use earplug style earphone to listen to music while riding. Noise is never a problem to me. If you really want a quiet helmet, the best is Schuberth helmet. Expensive but good.
