I got it at $200 from Motoworld. Standard lead time is 3 months or 90 days which is quite normal for indent item. I got it swee swee on the 3rd months. Just remember MW will quote you $220~$240 at first. Haggle for a lower price. I remember 2 years ago I check with them, they quoted me $180. But when I go buy from them a year later, price went up. $200 is the lowest they can sell. You can try aim for $180 bah.

Thanks for sharing,if many are interested can share on the shipping

It all aero dynamic. Helmet design + windshield + wind direction will give you mixed result. You will be surprise the stock windshield will give you least helmet vibration. Mainly because stock is very low. Basically the wind will hit your helmet directly. If you use a tall windshield, the wind will be directly a certain angle upwards thus maybe causing it to hit your helmet at a direction which it is not design for, thus causing undesirable wind buffering (something like air turbulance) which cause the vibration.

I worn Arai RX7-RR4 before, noise level is generally bad. But I always use earplug style earphone to listen to music while riding. Noise is never a problem to me. If you really want a quiet helmet, the best is Schuberth helmet. Expensive but good.

I tried listening to music with earphones too,but long rides your ear drums would be exhausted followed by uncomfort.

Schuberth, indeed a great helmet very compact and etc.

Yes, you can consider ordering from twisted throttle if can get 2 or more people to share. This way fastest. But take note of the GST.

I have experiment with many earphone. You need to find the one with the smallest "head" with the thinnest and softest "stem" in order to minimize the discomfort. But still it will get uncomfortable and painful after a long ride. That why I always bring earplug along as well. Anyway the best earphone I found is like this,

There are many brand with similar design. So shouldn't be hard to find.

I'm using HJC Rpha 10 now. It is even worst. You better invest in a earphone. Go buy those 3M type, those which you need to pinch roll it first then it will expand when you insert inside your ear.

Yaa!!! That day when I rode into Malacca with Laguna11, the traffic was quite heavy.

Honestly its because of my lack of knowledge of the roads in and around NSHW, that's why I'm only suggesting Malacca. If you have a better place that we can ride to I really don't find.

Sheesh.. I feel damn noob now man! :cheeky:

This 2 weeks malaysia school holiday, do expect heavy traffic if heading into town or maybe up further north :D

I'm getting a few pairs from my brother-in-law. His job requires earplugs so he'll pass some to me.

Don't think we'll travel that far. Mercenary has suggested Bukit Indah which should be rather close by I presume?

Hi Guys, now my turn to ask for advice.

I'm looking to upgrade my suspension but don't wish to spent tons of money (as usual). Yet I also do not wish to just settle for a simple heavier spring/coil/oil upgrade. I know a good suspension will comprised of a complex, high volume valving system but for a causal/touring rider like me, it seems overkill.

So I am just looking at,

1) Heavier spring for front and rear. I'm around 100kg so I definately need to replace the stock spring.

2) Aftermarket valve for fornt and rear. I saw racetech have something called Gold Valve.

My questions are,

1) Anyone did this method before?

2) Where and how much does it cost (estimated)? I figure it is still cheaper than going for a aftermarket rear shock + Traxxion AK-20 kit for the front.

3) Or any better suggestion?

Thanks in advance and wish all Busa'rean an enjoyable weekend!

Bro, I did contemplate on replacing my Gen 1 suspensions with ohlins (high $3k) but as u mentioned, I guess it's really an overkill hence I dropped the idea for now & went for the option of a spring upgrade.

In terms of technicalities, I'm really not the person who can give that advice but here's my observation with & w/o pillion. My new springs are presently 2 weeks old and they cost me $460 + $40 each for the fork seal, all inclusive of labor.

After the spring change, the mech actually tuned the damping to suit my weight. I told them that my pillion was abt 50kg so I got them to tune my rear shocks to cater to my pillion's weight. At 1st, I didn't feel much difference but when I encountered the slight humps n bumps on the road, I went pass it feeling great as I didn't feel much as opposed to my stock springs. Then came the day I pillioned my wife, I remember I was traveling about 90-100km/h when I encountered unlevel roads on CTE towards AMK, my oh my.. I felt as thou I was traveling on a level road, on stock springs, I would have felt the bouncing feeling hence it felt absolutely great with the springs upgraded..

Haven't had the chance to do cornerings or take long straights with my new springs but I'll update u again after more observation.

So far, I'm 120kg, 185cm tall. Springs upgraded to Hyperpro. IMO, one of the best upgrades so far.

Sorry I can't provide u with the technicalities, only personal observation from riding with the new springs.
