Actually stock work good enough for your application. Just go and service your brakes if you find it is not effective anymore. Change to steel hose yet? It helps too.

Any great shop to recomend for the servicing? Change to steel hose liaw. Btw mine is gen1.

U riding Gen 1 or 2 ? Coz IMHO Gen 1's 6 pot brake caliper like cannot make it on my bike. So i change to a K6 gixxer fork + radial mount calipers and RCS 19 brake pump. Braking power have been amazing.

Wow... How much u spend to change to gixxer fork + radial mount caliper. Must be a boommmzz. Btw mine is gen1 06.

Does changing aftermarket brake disc affects the braking power? Some say when you change to aftermarket disc, for example Galfer, must change to Galfer brake pads if not defeats the purpose.

Is it true?

Most shops should be able to do the servcing. Personally I go to Bikeworkz cause it near my house. Or you may want to meet up with some fellow Gen 1 riders and try their braking before deciding. I'm riding gen 2, so can't comment too much on stock gen 1 braking.

Regretfully the breaks of Gen1 not that great. I used to have a K06 and I know. On my K06 I also changed all the O rings and break pump. My K06 and now my K08 I service them at i-Motoring. You can give a try with them.

So any aftermarket brake calipers that can fit gen1 without changing the forks?

If possible only by customizing a bracket.

Usually the cheapest will last longer. The expensive ones will wear off quite fast

If im not wrong

Used to use the $25 per brake pads.

Now using ebc hh with ebc rotors. Still go?ng strong but kinda abit noisy.

By the way, what do you mean by brake not effectively? Do you mean when you press the brake lever, it is not smooth, like a bit stuck. Then when you apply more pressure, it suddenly brake alot? If that's the case, then you need to service/repair the brake lever by using the whatever brake kit. Mainly is the O-ring at the brake pump harden, causing stiction during braking.

i used to tap the brake lever and the effect came. now i press near to throttle then the effect only came.

I went to change the master pump kit with new bleeding today but all to waste as it is still the same.

alas.

any better suggestion..

Sound more like bleeding not properly done. Or can you check the reach adjustment on your brake lever? The one that can be adjusted on your lever. Try playing around with it and see how. Maybe it now at the shortest reach setting. If all else fail, go to another shop to bleed the brake.

I find EBC HH okay but I ran 40+k km on stock pad. Will try other brand next. @carbine is the brake pad man. He should have a better answer for you.

I believe there some job nt done properly... Since u mentioned that u service the caliper. U need to check that the o ring placement is correct. There are difference in the size n dimensions. I ever service my frd caliper after that Ok. Master pump, since new shld nt be a problem.

Gd luck

Thanks for the replies. Does every bike shop sell the stock pads? Or do I need to order from agent?

Shall wait for carbine reply then...

Update guys !

Tried my bike for a few days already. So far still running good. Tink the problem been solve already.

Things i've done:

-Change 4 plug coil

-Change 4 plugs

-Change TPS

-Service fuel pump

-By pass side stand switch

-Service gear sensor

-Reflash ECU

-Sync throttle body (Once remove everything then realise throttle body still in sync. -_-)

But i tink the problem lies wif the gear sensor and ECU.

Thanks to everyone for the input and helping me with the problem ! :thumb:

You are most welcome.Wow you must have a money printing machine at home perhaps?:p
