Lol I have specially bought a half helmet & goggles for the Phantom but didn't dare to use it for any more than short trips to NTUC.

I seriously doubt the ability for the half helmet to protect your face sufficiently. My friend landing chin first wearing a FF helmet yesterday along the expressway and he was just traveling at 30km/h! Scary.

I agree with qeith. I've seen jaws ripped out from faces due to wearing half caps or open face helmets ( the last involving a M'sian kupcai rider along TPE) and because of that, all my helmets are either full face or flip-ups.

This incident was rather unfortunate and the possibility very remote but it was no fault of my flip up. It was my fault that I kept the visor up.

Ya upon reading my post again, I meant to say head instead of face. It's quite obvious it will do nothing for your face in an accident. But I agree, I have 3 FF helmets to choose from so I usually alternate them. I have an open face one but it's used to very very short trips within the neighbourhood. But I have to admit, when I do wear shorts to ride I wear the open face one too.

Reminded me of an incident i had to duck my head behind my handlebar to avoid an army of low flying pigeons that went straight for me after i turned left into an open air carpark. It was a split second thing and when i turned my head to "watchout!" the birds i saw the driver face behind me, he had this :o wow look. I think he thought i was amazing to have siam all those airforce.

Same incident happen to me while exiting ghim moh. swam of birds flew very low and i hit 1 of em. lucky my visor was already down when i left the carpark and was riding at only 30km/hr

for ur safety guys whenever ur traveling on the stretch of ghim moh road ard 6pm-730pm better travel slow and keep ur visor down. birds like to swoop low and fast during those hours.

there was once i was riding past tampines mrt station with my full face's visor up. the next thing i know, a dragonfly entered my helmet. wobbled for awhile with one hand on the handlebar the other trying to dislodge the dragonfly.

stopped at the side of the road and i end up with a slimy mess on my face.

Its sold at DAISO, Vivocity. Try placing/ tying it on your bike seat. Supposed to deter cats.

No harm trying, I say. :)

Thanks! Heard about it before. I've heard that dabbing some Tiger Balm on the seat is good. But I haven't got about to trying it yet.
