Well from wat i know, there is a bike shop that gives very good service. price wouldnt be the cheapest but u know its in good hands and u do not need to worry.....even they busy also entertain you.

It is a diff thing when the owner runs it and the work runs it...to keep it tight means the owner must run himself but its not always possible.

I have been with HKL since 1997. Almost 10yrs since the Opps AIA shop was still selling bikes. Ah Keong, Ah San and Ah Zheng was the only personnel for more than 10yrs. They are the best there but then only 3 of them are unable to service all bikes. They entrust the task to their junior mechanics. I personally feel that 2B and 2A bikes are ok to service there but some bro here with Class 2 also says good about the service. For Auto gear scooter, best not to service there, they know where is good btw.

Ah bee used to be good in manning his shop and men, but now, all day stuck in new office and laze there all times. Its best to make your comment to these 3 senior mechanics and buy kopi or a cigeratte to them. Trusts me, its does help.

Ah Zheng and Ah Keong always bz with something everytime. Ah san althought senior but abit cannot make it (lazy). Ah soon and the rest are the newbies but they are good and hardworking. They knows how to mingles around and fix your bike. But end of day, the in-charge Zheng and keong have the last say of price and repair schedule.

Ah Keong is my personal choice. He was my regular mechanic when I was riding my GSXR400R. I've no complaints with his handiwork except that if I send my bike for him to service, it will take one whole day cos he will do a bit here and then go do other bikes as well. Now when I changed to R1, the few times I went to him for servicing, he will ask other junior mechanics to do the job. So, now I go to Tachyon Motor instead...

Why not? Does it take a lot of effort just to butter up the fella? It's not like buying him a Rolex or giving him "special" service (*winks*).... It's just 80 cents coffee. Just like in your job, you'd like to be appreciated for what you do even though you're still earning your salary. Empathy, bro....

It worked for me at Guan Hoe & it works for me at HKL. And it doesn't involve me bending over backwards and touching my toes.....

well for good mechs, they cant attend to the bike totally but will oversee...no doubt it is still best done by them....it is still all due to "kum cheng"

Never been to this shop since 10 years ago and will never go back there. Their japanese racer know how to do up his own race bike and do not need HKL mech help at all. So its only pay $$ and thats all.

So far no issue la or maybe I just dunno my bike insides well enough to know if they are carroting me or not for example I dunno if that certain thing is loose or its tolerance.

trust all my bikes with them, no matter big or small bikes... they'll inform me if they wants to change anything before they proceed...

but pricing wise, they are not the cheapest...

+1 to HKL from me...
