That reminds me, one of my brown heels that I have been wearing lately, has its heels chipped off liao. I need to replace the padding at the tip of that stiletto, or just junk out a still neat looking heels? But I dont want to buy brown anymore. Maybe I will just stick to blacks.

Cannot. My shawls are all bright monotone colours.

I dont have any that can tone it down. Cheongsum is black velvet with sequins. Chances are, it will overshadow the bride or even their parents.

I think I will just simply wear my black jackets pants suit from work.

Wow!! You actually do tailor your dresses! Recently I have been thinking if I should actually tailor a dress or something. If the tailor is good, I should hopefully look better than if I went to look and look and look and end up with something just ok only. Also, tailoring isn't all that expensive given that off the shelf dresses can be easily $50-80 anyway.

I feel that my restraint on TBS purchases is slipping away... I might just end up buying TBS stuff again!!!

tailor clothes is around $50-$80 har...

last time i tailor a jacket was quite ex leh

maybe cause i bring my own design down to let the tailor do...

and yes, tailored clothes do make u look better if u have a good tailor that knows how to adapt the cutting to flatter your body type, and advise u on what suits u

but if your body type is kinda average, most off the rack clothes should look fine...

btw what is TBS stuff?

I tailor some of my clothes, cos I got a really short body, short arms, legs & small hands and feet.

And really thick shoulders. So clothes I buy off the rack either cannot button in front, or cannot let me bend my arms, or over my wrists. Pants, I usually still can buy off the rack and simply hem them up. But some pieces is worth to tailor.

Like simple dinner gowns, cheongsums & long sleeve shirts.

The Body Shop? You should buy in Malaysia, its cheaper there.

i'm willing to splurge only on books. investments, home repairs etc.

aside from that, its probably gonna be bike next. cause i will make it a point to keep my bike in tip top pristine condition. a trait carried over from my father.

handphone's a phone to me. i only upgrade when new generation comes. eg. nokia 3120 to nokia 3310 to sony ericsson w700i to htc desire.

but i starting to think i'm a miser. i track all my expenses daily in a notebook! haha.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

I buy most of my TBS stuff overseas.

They carry more out of stock in Singapore ranges and goes on cheap sale. SOme prices may be the same in Singapore, but some can be cheaper due to the exchange rate.

I am trying to scale down my purchases from TBS to only a fragrance range like Vanilla Vanilla.

I tailor my stuff at Bangkok. Mostly office suits as I have problems with getting well-fitting pants. Once I went crazy and ordered suits totalling S$3,000+++ at one go. I have to say that they really last. I've been wearing the same sets for 4 years (once a week) and they still look good as new.

I used to tailor dresses but it became too much work for me (shop for fabric, decide on design, fitting etc). These days I prefer to seek out local designers. Some of them offer very good personal service and will alter for you. Of course having a good seamstress to whom you can go to for additional alteration helps too.

I used to buy a lot of books but they took up too much space! When we moved recently we had to throw away a lot of books! These days I borrow from the library and only buy if I really like the book. Last book I bought was The Alchemist.

So far no need to spend on bike because my partner would buy me "birthday presents" in the form of spare parts!!! Apparently I'm getting some brake/clutch lever for my birthday this year!!! o_O

Like you, a phone is just a phone to me. I prefer very basic models (can call, can send message, can take picture). I have a company-issued Blackberry so I do my web-surfing on that (no need to pay data charges hee hee).
