I have a Class 3 license, but if i were to buy a car, it would be an auto car. Its really tiring riding a manual for me.

But if you like to play gear, then go ahead and get manual. I feel that sg traffic is start/stop traffic. I've even been in a 3 hour traffic jam driving a manual Mazda 323 and i tell you, its really tiring as hell.

When you bought a Auto car, you hope that you can drive a Manual one..

i drove a Auto.. When i got stuck in jam, i always told myself it's a good thing i get Auto..

Manual cars are cheaper easier to maintain with no ATF..

I will be in dilemma if i were to buy another car..

I chose Auto in the end for convenience..

Depending on the car u are getting also bro.

Lets say you getting a auto Lotus Elise and manual Honda Stream (if Available), think something is not right.

Other than your preference, some cars are better in manual and most are better in Auto lol.

if u compare a same car, AUTO n MANUAL, whats the difference in acceleration and other points?

does manual car does better in corners?

I drove a Manual before and had to change to an Auto yet I still prefer Manual after driving for the same period of time; 1 year. Auto's boring.

isit then lend me ur ride.. i love it haha.........:cheeky:

Manual is fun driving except when u are caught in a slope going in /coming out fr a mscp /bcp and e usual traffic jam which all contribute to building up ur left leg muscle...

imho auto is still more to a practical drive in sg, manual is little tiring for local drive but those can get used to it, ain't gonna cause much fuss abt it..

auto or manual will not be main concern for corners, it will gonna take more factors like: driver, car geo, setup, turning diameter, tires, lining, blah blah blah... so it will nv begin with cornering issue..

Each will have its own points, u gain something, u lose something..

u mean auto u dun pull handbrake meh? manual driving must get used to it, becoming a habit to ur daily driving. Even auto during stationary when ur gear is still engaged in "DRIVE" u still must step on the brakes mah.. just do it same for manual loh if you are not comfortable to begin handbrakes with.

Auto. I'm getting older and older and my left thigh hurts like hell in a traffic jam. Step left leg, left hand engage 1st gear, right leg move and car in front stops, then step brake, damn. Step left leg...

I'm driving a manual, and trust me, an auto is very much needed for SG roads. I was stuck in a 2 hour jam due to flood and accident at ECP. 4 days later, my left leg still swollen (due to clutching in and out all the time).

Doesn't help that I have had sports injuries before.

Drive : Proton Saga 1.3M SJN plate (11th June 10 - Present)

Ride : Honda S4 Revo FBC plate (12th July 08 - Present)

Former Ride : Phantom TA200 FV plate (9th September 05 - 12th July 08)

auto car! so much easier to drive imho. although i nvr had e chance to drive 1.. only drove lorry since i passed cl3.. wan play pickup and gears then ride bike man. so much more fun. car should be more reserved, relaxed, enjoy the road.

Took manual license, so I can drive anything in future. Learnt to drive at a very young age (shhhhh) so not a problem.

But in the real world, auto anyday. These days there's little performance difference, much easier in start-stop traffic every morning, and the sport mode on some auto transmissions is fun!
