Hi guys

Im thinking of changing into a super four revo, because i want to put box. Reason being i'm riding a cbr400 and it will look retarded to put box on a sports bike. furthermore, i want a more relaxing riding style as im getting older and my back aches lol.

So i went down to one of the motor tiams and saw a 1 year old revo, and a brand new revo. Difference is ~$2000 in pricing. I dont know whether i should buy 1st hand or the 2nd hand one. The value depreciates so much in 1 year as seen, and im going to not use the bike so much when im in camp(esp first 3 mths). So im in a dilema now. Any lao jiao can kindly share with me your views and why?

Thanks!

If i were you....

Wait for your posting first before you decide. Trip to camp once a week aint that bad in my opinion. When i was in the first 3 months, i didn't feel a thing cause just stayed in. But once got my posting, everyday must travel to my station until damn sian like that. But you got a cbr400 already. I would just put a box, dont care how it looks like.

But if really want to choose, i would go with a first hand revo. 2k for piece of mind, new machine that is only yours.

i second crazydj. try it out with ur cbr first and see how heavy it is on ur pocket to change bike when you go NS. I wanted to change bike after seeing some of my friend riding s4 but in the end stuck with my cub coz all paid for and no worries. my suggestion is probably save up for a few mths or a yr and get a bike you can handle financially considering you're in NS. at least you can have a enjoyable NS journey without much debt to worry abt. =)

i'd advise you to stick with whatever you have right now.

best if your current cbr400 is fully paid for.

changing to revo will be a financial burden to you during your ns life even after trading in your babyblade.

unless you can full cash payment the revo itself.

if you are posted to an active unit, you might even consider downgrading to a 2B bike since it will be under utilised.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I agree with this. First of all my ns pay will be one of the lowest salary you will ever hold in your life(For most ppl, including me this is true) .If yr bike is fully paid, hold on to it first, until probably after you post out of the 3 months training. At least after that you will know on how much you more you will bring home for 1.5 years of your ns life.

If you can hold the temptation, just stick to your current bike if its not giving your problem. AT lest when you booked out you can spent the money away, rather than thinking of paying monthly higher installment. My same bike stood with me from poly all the way till ns, until i change to bigger one. I got no problems of thinking of footing extra money during ns(manage to pay bike full before ns)

At the end of the day it is your choice... Well the comfort thing that you can be grateful s at least now u be serving 2 years and not 2.5 like last time, and higher ns salary.
