Well, head turners usually get all the unwanted attention also...

so do be wary of that...

Good luck mate....

hmmmm....when you have a very loud and noisy pipe. You have to be careful of vandalism. Unless you have your own garage, it maybe soon people starts to disturb your bike ah

this will definitely make head turn, even those on white helmets

You don't need loud pipes on your bike to turn heads. You sound like you are lonely

hi mates.

i am just asking for an opinion from those who have.

(blackenese).. thanks bro.. thats an option...

i might settle for the VnH short shots if the review on it is good on sportsters.

cheers!

Personally, I hate the VnH sound, straight through annoying decibles.

Go check out Rineharts, sweeter & bassier.

Stock pipes without the baffles are good enough imo... might depend on your engine type though (Evo, Twin Cam, Carb, EFI etc). I ride a carb-FXDL with baffle-less stock pipes and I think they're possibly louder than Screaming Eagles.

Just my two cents though. :)

If it has t!ts or a kickstand, I can ride it.

Stock pipes without baffles + the coin tab inside bent/removed, sounds a little like baffles-less 49 states off the Californian state, which i currently run. Performance is great; IMO and a few mechs are the best pipes sound to performance wise. Sound is very very nice and authentic, not quiet and not ridiculously loud. I park in HDB so i cant afford to fuk with the neighbours.

Do you want quality or quantity of sound? :)

Rhineharts are nicest sounding IMO, Pythons are nice too. V&H are way too common and they sound a little hot-rod rather than the authentic bassy rumble. SE Is and IIs without baffles are really loud, gives a nice po-ta-to at idle, but annoys the crap out of me during throttle; a little high toned.

stwb1981 mentioned "A biker or a poser... simple". Upz to that.

I have the best signature.

Juz like to know from experience, how likely will those white helmets pull over cruisers with loud noise, whether they're Harley or other makes? Had one right behind me at traffic light, but luckily he turned left before I open my throttle.

Btw, my exos are loud...

those running stock baffle-less exhaust...:thumb: i run mine on 49 states exhaust too, deep bass tone and not irritating loud, looks wise not as fancy as after markets but it's fine with me.

really depends on their moods at that moment, no point trying my luck see if they will pull me over, i rather respect they are the law and avoid them with all costs...:D

Hi bro, just kidding. Don't take it too seriously.

But seriously, if you want obnoxiously loud pipes you'll prob be making ppl turn their head for the wrong reason. V&H short shots looks very nice and it's very loud, but they sound like sh1t IMHO. You really don't need loud pipes to get (wanted) attention, you just need to be a little creative with your bike.

Ok I just remembered a friend having a set of Boneshakers on his Sportster some time back. These were so damn loud that you could still hear him if he was riding at the back of a 10-bike convoy and you were riding in the front.

Warning- EXCESSIVELY LOUD!!! (He had to avoid parking in closed-up areas at all costs and was always looking over his shoulder to see if he was being chased by a cop. And there is always the risk of having someone scratch your bike for being too damn noisy!)

This is what it looks like:

Good luck!

jd 76 - i think the boneshakers are extremely loud, just by looking at it.

mates, seriously i did not know such pipes exsisted till i saw one guy with V&H beside me.

only then i started looking for pipes. i dont do research, not enuf time. but i try to learn along the way. dont mind me though.

i m ok with my the sound my bike produces. but i want a better looking pipe and something that sounds nice. too loud can be irritating, that i agree.

terrible one - i m cool bro. no worries.

Blackdawn, stwb1981 , j76 , TheYasMan , Maxxmadness - thanks mates. appreciate ur thoughts.

Boneshakers mate.. not Bonesharks. You should be able to find them on eBay or perhaps you can ask one of the local shops to order it for you. Not sure about price though.

Good luck. :)
