i am just switched to Maxima..........10w40w i think its gd....can see a improvement in the engine smoothness............

 

understand its ester based.....think it should be okay............

 

Anyone has the market price for that?

 

i got it changed @ $20

Yes it's base stock is ester. I believe the one u using is Maxima Maxum4 Extra 10W40. As for me i never tried the Maxima Maxum4 Extra 10W40 but i got tried the Maxima Maxum4 Extra 15W50. Maxima werks. :thumb:

can go with me to my usual Mech @ near jackson centre...wonderful motor...

 

they have Maxima there......

 

I am going again soon to get some lights fixed....

bro, from my understanding of those words, i think tat oil is for 2-stroke MARINE engines.. u know those engines they use to power up their boats.. As far as i know, those outboard engines also have 2 and 4 strokes.. i think some jetskis uses 2 stroke engines.. This is from my understanding of those words up there..

 

i might be wrong though... hopefully there is someone more wise who can help u further..

i got use this 2t for quite some time last year ah. i realised its also a bit f**ked up. but now i dun care wat 2t. as long as not hte cheap one good enuf.

im currently using caltex semi-synthetic

feels okie...

nothing extraordinary

 

5w40 refer to vicouscity of oil

40 = viscousity when oil is hot/warm

5w = viscouscity when oil at low temperatures (e.g. winter time)

 

high numbering = thicker = more viscous

is every sprk135 rider facing e problem of less amount of engine oil when they changing oil services ? isit very normal for 4-stroke bikes ? when i change 4t at planet, ah chiong told me my 4T was lesser instead of 1L... (actual amount is 900ml)

4 all sprk135 riders pls remember 2 check ya oil regularly.. smiles...

bro our manuel states dat 900ml for change of oil filter as well

if jus oil change alone its 800ml

careful dun over top up it will cause engine oil to go into engine block and cause white smoke emit from ur exhaust

if u wan double confirm check every oil change how much oil left from how much u top up

if not u top up 800 den check with ur dip stick if not enough den top up 100 more
