Need some help with dis..

Bike would get hot every now and then...

I think is the thermoset or the fan dats giving me probs...

Most to most when temp reach 114'c, the coolant reseviour " the one dats next to the radiator" cap will pop out to expel the hot air inside..

Dats the least of my prob...

Main prob for the high temp??

Fan?? Thermoset???

Enlighten me...

as a muslim, in this month of Ramadhan (fasting month) we too believe that the 'passed away' are out from the 'gates' and could roam around to 'look' at their 'new generations' :help: :help:

Which sect of Islam do you subscribe to, Leon? As a practising Muslim in Singapore since birth, what I know is that the departed are not "let out" during the fasting month. Instead, satans are locked up to assist Muslims in fasting with a reduced amount of "worldly interference". "Nafsu" however, is up to the individual.

Actually Marcheline, Leon is not too far off. One of the 'fadhilat' of Ramadan is that the gates of heaven are opened and the deceased are reprieved from torture in their graves. Once the gates are opened, doesn't that infer that the occupants inside are allowed to roam out? Heck, my religious knowledge isn't that deep so I don't dare give a sermon on it...

if u ask me, the thermostat is the main thing. at 106 degree, the thermostat should open to allow the coolant to flow through to cool down the engine and at the same time, the fan should come on ...

What say u

It all boils down to interpretation, I guess. I won't preach cos I'm no better myself.

There's one listed on Ebay iirc.

my frens stock k7 600 180 to 190km fuel light turns on blinking. after using the green oil, improve abit by 12 to 15km.

Would love to go to the meetups, but kinda embarassed at the state my bike is in, currently. Engine's halfway there (left with e piston rings), many operating parts changed (fuel pump, clutch basket, wiring) diy cos shop labor fees are simply "wow". Thank you Ebay.

The biggest bummer is the paintwork. Plenty of road rash on the right side, haven't decided on whether to re-spray or just re-wrap cos she has only 2 years to go.

There is no need to be embarrassed.... we are not having beauty contest during the meetup. :cheeky:

Ebay is indeed a good place to source for second hand parts... I did most of my shopping there as well. All the best with your DIY project. :thumb:

If u intend to recon yr bike n renew COE then i suggest u to send for a full respray...

If u intend to tahan another 2 yrs only then just rewrap will do...

15 i wud say more for street? i dunno...very subjective this one...cos long long time ago got this heaty argument about this topic in the 1000 thread. haha. in my opinion, 15 is thicker than 10...some racers i met they like 5 cos very thin...but they use then throw...thick and thin differs in the feeling ur bike running heavy or light...but then again subjective.

I think those R1 riders living in colder countries will feel nicer riding their bikes cos the bikes keep their bums as warm as toast...
