Hi Guys, i feel that there are limited number of choices for 2B bikes in the market. Most people will consider phantom or NSR.

Have anybody really look at daelim before? the new model roadwin just came out this year. I feel that its exterior is quite nice. sporty and looks like super 4(see attached pics). the wheels are bigger, 17 inch and are more stable than phantom.

It is a 4T bike, so performance wise will not be as fast as 2T ones.

Any comments?

Got this model three weeks ago, still running-in the engine and just reach 500km on the trip meter.

Looks are good and stylish, feels like semi-sport bike (ok, it is road bike with sporty feel, rode Ninja750R previously down sizing to hexagon 150 and then to this Roadwin 125).

Travelling needed to push this bike more (throttle to 5k rpm on first gear) and feels like it is short of one gear (it has 5 but I feels that it needs a six gear).

So far, it is very stable with 17 inches wheels and it has two vibration bands at 4~5k and >8k rpm. Have not try top speed yet.

Travel at highway at 80 kpm (engine@7k rpm), 70 kpm (engine@6k rpm) and 60 kpm (engine@5k rpm) in fifth gear.

Fuel consumption so far have tabulated at approximate 37 km/l, didn't believe that but will do more tabulation (much better than two stroke engine previously consuming at 20 km/l) and because this is a 125cc engine capacity.

Big fuel tank, 16 litres according to specification including 1.1 litres on reserve and now less frequence trips to petrol station.

I feels that this is a good bike and maintenance cost is low, needed only to change engine oil (1 litre) regularly. Others are chain, tyres are sporty will cost a bit more, brake pads and battery are dry cell.

Cost a bit more than Japanese bike of the same capacity but they don't have the same built, so far the Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha are with cheaper built like fuel tank, tyres, tyre rims, brakes and chasis.

Overall, I give this bike four stars (out of 5) in design, riding and value for money.

Realizing that the manual recommended not to exceed 5k engine rpm during running-in engine period for about 1000 km.

In Singapore that is not possible, traffic are zoom-by without even consider your safety. Impatient cars, lorries and buses nearly run me down if I stick to 5k engine rpm at a speed of 60 kpm.

So during the 1st free service, have full syn 4t oil and hopefully trying to keep up at 70 kpm @ 6k engine rpm not to do much engine damage.

More thoughts will be added from time to time for those whom have interest on Daelim Roadwin.

Also found accessories for Roadwin, u probably can order through Choong Kok Agency.

thank sohst for the contribution.

I have gotten this bike a month ago, but this whole month on the road have yet met any rider with the same bike before. Seems that the sales is not too good yet. Maybe advertising wise Choong Kok have not done enough to inform buyers of this model.

Personally i feel daelim roadwin has better design than most other 2B bikes. Wonder whats the reason that this bike is not too popular?

What's the machine price for this baby?

Its looks nice but I always wonder why daelim keep sticking to only 125cc ?? I saw it at one of chong kok subsidaries last december, just saw one parking at the carpark below my block last week, but he/she just visiting lah.

Cute thing is that their (default? ) design as as "super IV" sticker on the fuel tank

Bought this bike at choong kok (kaki bukit) for this is S$6.8k OTR last month include box, cover, raincoat and helmet.

COE went up this month to S$851 so expect price to go up.

Someone posted he chipped in extra S$300+ for insurance for under 30 yr old.

Not sure what is the price now but definitely up.

:weep:

Screw the COE for the inflation.

If it's a 200cc I think demand will shoot up some more..... If they release a 400cc version and price it cheaper than a Super4 and I think it'll do well too.

not sure what u r looking for?

but for a guy whom have rode big bikes b4, probably will wants an easy and doesn't need to spend much on a bike maintenance.

if u ask me i spend thousand of dollars whilst i was riding ninja750r and fuel burnts like drinking water, of course power is alway at a twist and consider the image..chio.

when riding it (750r), licence beware, from east to west to east PIE, ECP, TPE very sio..got 12 merit points and fine ($$more money gone to gov) within 6 months.

but if u ask me about this bike abilities, it is flickable, rock steady, goes wherever u point to. it has a experience like riding a big(>400) bike except for the engine power.

braking is superb, had the opportunity to do it (emergency brake), instant stop.

and performance for such a small engine isn't that bad too, push a little bit harder and it can zoom off.

well, at least u r able to keep your licence longer.

like i say, this is a bike that have big bike characteristics.

those 2b licence holders whom r keen to upgrade to a bigger bike, try owning this model and u will have no problem upgrading your riding skill.

 happy riding

this is a 125cc bike don't expect it to perform like a 400, so expect top speed to be 110 kph.

this run according to it's mechanical ratio limits in fifth gear with standard front/rear end spockets;

50kph @ 4k rpm (engine)

60kph @ 5k rpm

70kph @ 6k rpm

80kph @ 7k rpm

90kph @ 8k rpm

100kph @ 9k rpm

110kph @ 10k rpm (max).

mechanically, if u want power get a two stroke engine and u still will top speed at 110 kph (screaming engine).

Finally someone who own this bike is here commenting. I tot no one in this forum owns it.

Maybe it would be better if it's a 200cc. Don't understand why daelim bikes here all 125cc only....

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forum/index....topic=25971&hl=

fyi, that is the biggest capacity daelim manufacture.

daelim also supply honda with their manufactured assembly parts too.

i think they are binded by their contracture agreements.

btw, if u wish to trash the engine.

this happy revo-engine can go up to 11k rpm (red band), then top speed at 120 kph.

alternative, up the rear-end spocket by a few teeth.

gain travelling but loss pickup speed.

Hi all,

This is my Roadwin, see attached picture.

Have added Givi A750 Universal Windshield on the third day when I brought this bike, cost me S$220 at choong kok.

The tank and side pads cost me S$88 (come as a set), stick this on the first day when I collect the bike.

:cheer: Cheers :cheer:

Wave if u see me zoom by.

yeah, overall its nice but too bad of its 4 stroke structure. Cos 110 to 120 max is just not me for top speed. But really like the looks of it. Looks wise i give it 4.5/ for a road usage 4/5. For power, 2/5.

Actually the real muffler look like this and I saw this fitted on a red roadwin on the day when i collect my bike. Sound a lot different too, looks great and it cost almost S$900 bucks from choong kok.

quite overwhelmed with its parts eg. carbon fibre dash boards and street legal endcans.

how much modification can you make on a 125cc 4 stroke 5 gear bike?
