I'm 1.63m and riding CBR1k. Tiptoe if both legs on the road, but can have my right foot flat if my left foot is on the footpeg. Can try VFR800. The seat is shorter. Still have to tiptoe though but not as bad. :)

Yes, VFR800 is h-e-a-v-y. 225kg dry weight. Anw, can try google 2011 Honda new models. Look for CBR600F. Sporty, comfortable (debatable) and best of all, only 800mm for seat height. But not sure how much it will be OTR. Gotta wait next year. You're looking for sportsbike, naked or cruiser?

Harley sportsters are actually relatively inexpensive and cheap to maintain to boot. They cost around the same price as a Jap litre bike. Just dont get one if you're the type that likes to corner; you'll be seeing sparks often.

I'm riding Kawa GT and I'm 1.55.... Bike very heavy and pretty high for a touring bike... Manage well on the bike. Confidence is the key point. Once you get use to it, should be okay. Riding technique is also important. Don't ride the big bike like you are riding a cub

I think it all boils down to your determination and passion. I got inspired by Pedrosa cause he's the shortest (1.59m) and yet able to ride a gp bike. So I told myself if he's shorter than me and can ride gp bike, why can't i? :)

I like your spirit! :D

weight very hard to compare, sometime one bike is light on the scale but handle like a log, others may weight more but handling light..

I hope pros or other tt had e same situation as me pls kindly help:(

Hi, I'm 1.60 and i am riding a GSXR 600 K7. So far so good.. i have no problems pushing the bike or watsoever. I have to tip toe a bit on both legs but still comfortable to paddle forward or backwards even with pillion. The only problem is to push the bike on a slight slope. I have to push the bike in position first b4 getting my leg over it. I guess even taller riders have to do that if their bikes parked on a slope. I guess the issue about height is just when the bike is in stationary and u have to put ur legs down. When the bike is moving, no matter how high or heavy the bike is, it is manageable. (I ever rode my fren's XR4 before. I have to put my leg on a curb b4 moving off. Hahaha)

Anyway, if u r talking about sportsbikes, GSXRs has the shortest seat height among all the others. Be it a 600 or 1000. I had the same prob b4, selecting a class 2 bike because of my height. But coincidently, the bike that i like most, the GSXR has the lowest seat height.

FYI, my fren who is slightly shorter and smaller in size than me, is currently riding a R6 '06, which is damn high for his height. But its still manageable to him. Although he has to reverse the bike with only one leg. HAhaha.

In the end, it goes back to what bike u really interested in. Don't let ur height be the boundary between u and the bike ur dying to get!

Cheers!

wah lieu... 162 still call short ah

dn-01 is very short. very very very short. can flatfoot.

fazer6 is rideable

cbr1k is rideable

vfr1200 is rideable

kwak gpz750 is rideable (a bit heavy)

so far that's all i tried.

for short riders mounting class 2 bikes, there's a different mounting style. u can't mount it the way u mount a cl 2b, 2a bike.

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

Depends what kind of bike you like. Choose a style and then narrow down your models. I am 1.61m, female and ride a Suzuki Bandit 656S which is a do-it-all sports tourer kind of bike (much like the Diversion). The riding position is good but it is a bit heavy (~204kg) when maneuvering in tight parking spaces or on slopes. Have to think before you park! Otherwise it is good and has good torque. Equally the Fazer 6 which is much lighter is good. Surprisingly, new Yamaha 600 Diversions are heavy. I've known really short guys (

Not the height. Just pick out a bike you like, buy and ride.

1.58m on r6. Tiptoe sometimes, push many times. Yet still, i never regretted it the least bit. Just needs getting used to at first.

Shadow Aero 750. Both feet can sure touch the ground. Reliable bike and good all-rounder :thumb:
