Im gonna take my class 2 soon and im planning to get a cls 2 bike soon after that. Well it came to a realisation that transport/side bike is somehow important. So i wanna ask for your suggestion of which transport bike is consider the best.

1) wave

2) x1

3) spark

4) x1r

5) and etc (kupchais, fino, )

And and hw much does scnd hand x1r or spark cost?

any kup is economical to run; kupchais refer to the 1st to 4th you have listed.

cheapest'd be wave > x1 > x1r/spark

2nd hand x1r/spark ranging from 3k to 5k

brand new x1r/spark without COE around 3.5k to 3.7k

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Is the insurance for kups expensive though? My friend who's 20 and riding a kup told me his insurance came up to be $900, almost the same as a KR. I have no experience in this matter cause I've never rode one before but I'm thinking of getting one also.

insurance depends on alot of factors such as age, experience, brand/model, type of insurance coverage, insurance company etc

for a wave 20 years old P plate, 3rd party around 800 - 1000

for a KR 20 years old P plate, 3rd party around 1200 - 1400

normally after P plate and older you get, it gets cheaper, roughly 1/2 of the original premium according to my own records

Yeaah. i believe wave is the most economical of all :)) but sparky and x1r is fun to have . Just the money factor to get one as a spare bike. Btw the second hand include COE is 3k plus to 5 k ?

i think the superfour is the perfect runaround bike actually. not too big, not too small. comfortable for rider and pillion. relatively economical to run. but if want it cheaper then x1r.

My spare bike is a Vespa with an overhauled engine but slightly terrible outlook, so it's reliable and I know I can count on it, yet good enough to still be proud of it and ugly enough to make me want to ride my other bike unless its for short trips or rainy days.

mine is a ta200 phantom as a spare bike..or rather mostly to work and back and groceries sometimes..

Nah. Im riding a kr btw :) Gonna sell it off soon. 3 years with kr. Know the bike inside out. Hahaha. Its either i dont downgrade or i'll never upgrade. But nevertheless, i still love the kr bike. For spark n x1r , how much do u think is for secnd hand ? Planning to down like 2k plus or cash n carry if have a lil bit of money. Then easier for me to get a cls 2 bike after that. No more installment for spare bike

if i were u, i'll jus keep 1 bike. cos we only had one butt.haa, if u keep all the money for ur side bike(3~4k) might as well spend it on ur big bike. as if ur side bike no wear n tear.. it will be better if u had a buddy to share a 2b bike den both of u can ride class2 together yet got something to fall on.

Riding a cl2 bike is definitely more fun but cannot beat 2b bikes for pure transport. I hav to warm my R1 for 10 mins + just to move off while my spark can already be ridden on the roads. Somemore, the way to my work is always jammed, so sometimes i can't even squeeze while a smaller cub can get past easily.

So some people get a 2nd bike purely for transport purpose. But for saving $$, definitely save more if juz stick to the cl2 bike.

Spare bike dun get too ex.. Cheap and low maintenance/FC should be the main consideration. Before I got my x1, was seriously considering spark or x1R. Finally settled for a 5 yr old x1 for $1k. Insurance 3rd party hundred plus only.. FC ard 40\l. The spare $2k supposedly meant for x1r/spark, I use to take my family for short holiday..

But if u're very well off and money is no issue, then by all means, get an R1 as a spare bike if u fancy.. Hahah...

reali depends wad cl2 bike u wana get. im 26 and for my age group an r1 would cost at least 1.2k. im ridin a fazer n the insurance is abt 990. put in all other factors like petrol n parking for 2 bikes and gauge whether its reali necessary for u to own 2 bikes or stick wif ur kr 1st and when u r ready den get a cl2 bike. be mindful dat a cl2's FC is nt reali nice..abt 15km/l or better if u r lucky. u also have to factor in u gotta pay insurance for 2 bikes n 2 rd tax n inspection too. so if u reali gt more than enuff money to spare, by all means. but juz for the thrill of ownin a cl2 bike and end up u r living day to day of scrimpin and savin, try not to be tempted by that urge.
