Its as good as saying that I am a zillionaire... how many women can I marry.

In short... its how much do you want to limit yourself to.

Bone stock or with accessories?

If bone stock... might be abit on the high side unless of course the bike is super clean and the engine sounds good.

Bring the bike down to my shop and let me make an assessment for you... free of charge.

hey bros here, i have a question and thought this might be a good place for me to ask. i just bought a super4 several months ago. i have all along wanted to buy a drz, but at that point in time when there were so many super4s up for sale and my greed for a bigger class bike took over, so i bought a super4 instead. right now, i see people riding drzs on the roads and somehow feel so envious of them.

can someone who have ridden both bikes give me some old bird advice on whether i should consider changing to a drz?

honestly, i like the super4 cuz of the under-seat storage and comfort, but damn personally i find it a bit too chunky to flick it around and all. (i was on a scrambler previously) can someone please advice me?

The grass is always greener on the other side, haha. The following is my 2 cents opinion:

Cons

-Look more chio, and ppl tend to notice rather than S4.

-Cheaper to maintain

-FC maybe abit lower

- Can ride up and down kerb...

Bads:

- Ass numbing seat (esp for skinny ppl like me, don have meat at the butt...)

- Good pick up, but only up to 100km/h, after tat not much power liao. In this case, i think the S4 pickup is smoother and top speed is better

-No storage space, and look ugly with a box. Nowadays i carry my jacket with me...

Bitting point can give good comparision, he ride both bikes b4.

When you are young..you should be riding a supermotard... when you get older... Super4 becomes more suitable.

I don't feel old that's why even at age of 54... I race supermotards. Heheh.

having ridden both bikes.. most imptly.. it boils dwn to u.. end of da day.. wat is the main purpose of ur bike or ur usage will be.. after i sold off my zee.. i got an s4.. no doubt its a smooth n powerful cruiser.. i live in da east n sch in da west n ride daily.. rode up north.. its a pretty fast n reliable bike.. smooth to travel far.. won`t give u ass cramps lyk wat many haf highlighted..

but in my case.. i owned it fer abt 4 mths n went back to a motard.. but not a drz diz tym.. cos my passion is thr.. i still feel da adrenalin n excitement by ridin one.. da s4 is a pretty boring ride if u ask me.. i dun mind ridin far with this bike.. n i dun haf ass cramps lyk many.. prolly i`m alrdy used to it since my first 2b bike.. but it feels abit tirin no doubt when u hafta travel far due to it bein a single cylinder n vibrations are inevitable.. although top speed not as fast as da s4.. but den agn.. how fast can u go in sg..? this are my pt of view.. no doubt bof bikes haf their pros n cons.. but fer me.. end of da day.. i`ll still pick a motard.. ;)

Yeah, had my share of stay in e east n school in e west. Wif drz, e balls went numb first few times but after, its normal alrdy. E thing is, riding a drz is diff, e feeling is diff, even now after i chgd bike, i still missed e times wif my zee. Whenever i see a zee, sure i'll look. Head is telling me to get one back as a 2nd bike...piangz....

oh god you guys are really tempting me to buy a zee! having started out with a scrambler, i know how the adrenaline and the feel is like on these bikes. just so exciting. i think im just like you guys, motards always have the wow factor in the back of our minds. plus i really like the feeling of riding one. and i totally miss how i was able to go up kerbs whenever i want to. motards are just so versatile.

just wanna ask though, do you guys somehow miss the top end power and speed the super4 can give?

Posted

NO~..! i`m lovin da pick up of my orange now.. hehs.. i tink it still can rch a speed of 140-160 cos i`m ridin w/o a speedo.. its still damn fast.. anyways.. thr is no nid to go so fast in sg.. even wen i was ridin da s4.. abt 120 at most.. seldom 140.. wen i went tourin its abt 160-180.. but the pick up on da motard.. PRICELESS..! maybe i`m not such a big fan of top speed.. =)

I dint ride a Super4 previously, but i rode a CBR4. :cheeky:

YES! Riding a DRZ now for me is like a love/hate kind of thing!

Maybe Im not really a fan of motards/Scrams.

I seriously love its pick-up, its easy to flick around, up and down kerbs are a breeze, easy on the pocket in terms of petrol, lots and I mean really lots of accessories!

Its my first scram/motard. Been riding sportsbike since P plate times. Now Im on the DRZ for only 2 months.

At times, I will always curse and swear when Im on the expressway and I cant/dont really wanna travel any faster due to engine stress. But thats not really a problem if you wanna re setup your sprockets. Another thing I cant get used to is the short gear revs. Riding posture, turning and cornering lines was a culture shock for me the first few days when i switched over from the CBR4.

But overall, IM still LOVIN my DRZ.

Best is do what Im planning to do in a few months time, Keep a sportsbike and another DRZ!
