Since most people agree he is at fault why name the shop? Almost every shop will behave the same la. Next time just make sure installment payment date in the hire purchase agreement is at least 3 working days after pay day to be safe

In the 1st place, TS could have avoided this by making prompt payment.

 

and of course late payment of installments would incur late penalty fee. It is stipulated in the hire purchase contract u sign.

To all riders and buyers out there,

 

I had been a customer for already around 4yrs with this bike shop, but this is what happened.

 

1yr plus back, i got a bike from this bike shop on hire purchase. $170permth, and i miss paying 3mths installment. And what the bike shop did was sending lawyer letter straight to my house, and the late of interest fee was $1490+3mths = 2k. I didn't know it was a lawyer letter at first till i make a call then i know. So i got no choice but to pay those hidden cost.

 

Then just lastlast month on nov 2010 i did another late payment, the bike shop owner didn't say anything but just saying he bear the late interest fee.

Last month i was suppost to pay my installment on dec 2010 but i received my pay cheque on 31 dec which ocbc banks are not open, so i send a msg to the bike shop owner telling and notify him abt my suitition. But he nv reply, so today i did the paying of my installment. Then he reply, saying i got to pay late interest of $30. But for all this yrs he charge my late interest fee for $10 only, accept for the above case. But this time $30 and when i ask him why become $30 AND I don't know? He say because i long time nv do late payment, but on the nov i just did one and he didn't tell me abt the change of late payment fee at all, plus that day when i msg him he should let me know abt the change of late payment fee. But he didn't.

 

I'm not trying to get justice here or what, but just to share with people out there to be beware and think carefully before getting bike from this bike shop. Lots of hidden cost, you will only get to know the hidden cost when things happen.

Sorry to say this but if you cannot afford to keep the bike, let it go. Why be a slave to the bike? The bike is supposed to serve you, to help you get around, to help you get home.

 

Now, it's getting you into all sorts of problems you would never have to face if you didn't have a bike.

Anyway got lawyer letter they make collecting money from u legal. Lawyer letter also must pay money.

Y get urself into this problem in the 1st place.

pls la. lawyer fee who pay? shop pay ar? of coz customer pay la! he late until must use lawyer, so lawyer fee also he have to angkat la.

wa...3 months never pay...long time liao leh TS, shop also scared....if my house 3 months don't pay the bank will cheong kong my whole flat....

must build back the trust again, or else the shop will be very scared whenever u miss payment.......
