dont try it....

its darn serious...

Don't mess with old farts. Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill.

Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

For example, if i go buy a bike and pay the seller, then I ride the bike back but my name is not on the rider list. What will be the punishment if kena catched?

Ask the seller to pillion you to do the insurance and then the trasnfer of ownership. Takes an hour or so only.

The probably of getting caught is lower than getting into an accident. But should you get involved in an accident, it's a double whammy for you. First you will be punished by the law, and this is a serious offence, and the other vehicle owner or insurer will sue you for compensation even though you were not the party causing the accident.

Shouldn't all bike purchases be done this way ?

First buy insurance for bike, you just need a copy of the log card. The insurance start date can be post dated. Once that is done, get bike owner to ride bike down to LTA to transfer ownership. As soon as you are the new owner, pay for the bike, a handshake and ride the bike away.

Everything is legitimate, no risks, no hassle.

maybe he is thinking in terms of borrowing friend's bike or something. Since insurance don't offer "any-rider" anymore it's kinda troublesome if my friend needs to use my bike for the weekend and we got to do a insurance add name and delete name after that.

Big brother's watching...

To do list:

- Steel brake hoses (In progress...)

- Rewire bike

- Repaint fairing and clean up bike

- Replace exhaust system (DONE!)

There's no more any-rider insr but you can add a sub-rider insr. It's roughly $26 depend on which insr co. you are on.

Riding without insr not only your license revoked...but the registered owner of the vehicle also will kanna I believe

Be contented and you have the world... be greedy and you'll never be happy.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.

So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

on my first attempt of TP in BBDC, got to know a malay uncle who took TP on the same day as me. The reason he was taking TP was his license was revoked because he was riding without insurance.
