A friendly message to this lady rider =)

Venue: Pie -> Changi @ Around After paya lebar (Lane 2)

Time: 3.40pm - 3.50pm

 

To lady rider no. plate FBE4*51*

 

Was travelling @ PIE towards Changi this afternoon and happen to encounter the following event.

 

Infront of my veh was a vios and infront of him was this red yamaha cls 2b bike FBE4*51* she was wearing a black FF and travelling kinda slow ard maybe 60+ to 70km/hr at lane 2 (was closing up the gap even when i was travelling at 70km/hr)

 

At lane 3 was a family car ( i think its a WISH ) which is side by side with her and suddenly this lady rider move left onto the lane marking instead of travelling on its lane so this vios which is infront of me move forward (lady rider in between of both car now while me behind) dont know why to me she seems to be wobbling and cant balance then she throttle a bit enough to pass the WISH and go into his lane making him jammed his brake and swerve left to avoid his car right side hitting her rear wheel . . (she did on her signal but nv check blind spot) then she slowly make her way out i think was bedok reservoir road.

 

I hope to highlight to you that your careless action could have cost you your life or others ( Wish swerve left to avoid hitting you and behind him was S4 with pillion which luckily did react fast by switching to lane 2)

 

My purpose of this thread is NOT to shame you but hopping that you will take note of my message and ride safe in future.

Hmmm I wonder are we relying too much from the school imparting all the "know how" on the road? OR many of us lack of the road smart when we navigate through situations on the road? (*just my thoughts)

Assuming she is new rider, full face tends to be difficult to check blind spot, cause field of vision is restricted, especially at close quarters, so tight maneuvers are dangerous.

TS is being a good guy here and I seconded his intention to help the lady rider.

 

Blind side checking is a lot easier on bikes then cars Making it a habit could save you

 

try to do this anytime you want to change lane or turn

 

active turn signal ---> check mirror ---> look back = all this in 1 swift motion, keep in mind that you have to be agile since you need to know whats in front too.

Its not funny to be killed alone on the road. To even fall off from the bike during accident aredi is painful enough. Dont wish for such things for urself or others.

while i dun believe all females are like that, but sad to say out of 10 i seen... 10 are cock drivers. for female riders im not too sure though.
