hey fellow birdies, jus wanna ask have any of u guys full overhauled ur machines? if yes, where? any suggestions as to which mech can do a good job? a sad thing happened to my machine:(((

there are a few places that I asked each giving me different quotations...

depending on what needs to change, the price will vary..

 

Overhaul Kit - $230 (currently, fjt reserved 1 for me. Need to order)

Pistons and Rings - $500

Bearings - $240 (consist of 8 pairs)

Labour Cost - $350 - $500

 

Not sure of the crankshaft and connecting rods price... Overall, you can hv an estimate of between $1.8k to $4k

 

Bro confused did a full overhaul for $4.8k

Mine is suspected conrod bearings gave way...i went down to bikewerks n bikelab to ask ahbeng n joshua respectively...both sed same thing n both quote me diff prices...

yupz.. im only changing the bearings.. will get more advise from the mech if anything else needs to be changed..

FJT told me can get between 2 to 4 weeks.. unless Japan got other natural disaster again...

Bro..its normal wear and tear bro...Bird's engine is bulletproof if you do periodic mantainence...
