Bought a new batt for my berd. Althou the manual says use 12v10Ah,i only manage to get hold of 12v9Ah. Cost $65 cash n carry. Shoptold me to check if can fit into the batt compartment 1st b4 putting in the water...any idea if it can fit in guys?

Im changing my batt becoz my bike when start all ok...got 12.4v,when throttled theres 14.2v.but after riding for while the batt will stay at 12.4v as if not charing anymore.i noe it could be the rectifier or coil too but since the shop sell yuasa batt for $65 i guess i try the batt 1st.any body changed their rectifier n coil b4???how much it cost respectively?

Another issue i have is i just found out i had 2 map sensor on my bike...one is found under my tank n the other i found was at the back of my bike near the tail on the right side of the bike...is it correct or not?according to the manual,the map sensor at the back shud be a baro sensor.

As far as I know, the box came with a total of 6 hose.. i wasnt around when ah beng fix it on my frens bike.. One thing I dun like abt bikewerks is the waiting time.. I came at 11am with my friend and ordered the brakeline.. the despatch rider came in and brought it back at ard 3.30pm.. i left as soon as i got my hands on the hoses.. I dun blame Ah Beng for the waiting time as I feel it is something unavoidable..

 

I would advise you to ask Ah Beng to order your brake hose and arrange for it to be fixed on another day. You can confirm by calling him also. He will need to to know the colour that you want..

usually the batt is like that..it wont go to 15v if ure rect still working...if coil problem it wont charge..your voltage will keep dropping while riding...if rect problem usually is overcharging(correct me)...mine when switch on is 12v den when start 14 to 14.5v...if on the headlight around 14.2v...i juz change coil and rec at HKL 350+ for coils and 220 for rect...u can check with FJT to get the correct price..sumtimes they are cheaper...

bro stryker, changed my coil $280 at bikewerks n $160 for rectifier at bikelab...used to haf the chargin problems!

Bro...i think its better to get the 10Ah battery...coz FI bikes need more aH to run...fuel pump...injectors...sensors...plus 9aH have lesser CCA(cold cranking amps)..

Hi guys, juz wanna ask sumting...my BB is 02 model...Ive checked my ecu and the model is D51...Went to FJT and enquire bout that...But they said that they only have D52....Have to order for the D51....The ques is, cn i use the D52 instead? Would there be any glitches?

NO.... U have to use D51, the exact model no. D52 only fit those 04 or 05 model, to see the different, those with silver brake and clutch pump, urs is black.. and there is also other differencces in other things...

 

Try go to Eversucess or Choing Aik.. But price may be different..

thanks guys for the pricing of the coils and rects...i seriously haven really troubleshoot the charging prob due to reservist dis two weeks...just got to book out last evening den tonight gotta book in again. the problem with my bike is when switched on is 12.4v...but once start, it'll be at 14.4v all the way.after riding for sometime den the voltage starts to drop to 12.1v...even when reved it still stay at 12.1v.but when i off engine n start again,it'll stay at 14.4v all the way.so it actually shows that the bike is charging all the way when its at 14.4v...i find it unhealthy for the batt to be charged all the time so im still trying to figure out wats wrong with it.

Mircon only can get 2nd hand or get from overseas...gpr im not too sure of it. scorpion n akra still in production..yoshi also i heard no more production.

Retrifier... the function is to cut the charging when the batt is fully charged, so in this case the retrifier is about to kaput, sometimes working, sometimes not...

 

Prolonged period, ur magneto coil will also damaged...

 

So pls do something about it early...!

Try checking ur rectifier connector,does it turn brown oredi?.look for signs of burnt.If it does den ur rectifier gonna gonk soon.

sorry to barge in but i need to know...last saturday morning ard 6 plus am while otw to werk, i came across and accident at the entry to cte from YCK rd. Firstly i saw a malaysian bike and abt 50m i saw a white S4 and 100M ahead i saw a blackbird all with extensive damages. Victims were no longer seen. Seems to be a high speed accident. Anybody know the rider of the bird?? i really hope hes ok.
