Wah den lidat dunno where to place it liao....

Btw, is the one at wing yap openable? or is it just a sealed container with no way of opening it?

Any you know the dimensions?

Openable I'm not very sure.... I did see three openings with tubes, one from the engine breather, one to the atmosphere and one back to the engine oil filler.

Dimension-wise it's width is something like a 1.5ltr soft drink bottle, height is about 3/4 of the bottle bah....

Even the smallest spark can start a massive forest fire...

Ok guys, here's the scoop.... I've been to FS and Wing Yap to take a look.

FS has the polini breather catch tank. It has 1 inlet and 1 outlet. Another opening at the end for air to escape/enter. Its more like a crankcase breather in the sense as oil may still escape through the vented opening so it doesn't really solve out problem.

Wingyap has the oil catch tank but its not openable. Its a sealed container and has 2 outlets and 1 inlet. 1 from the crancase, 1 goes to engine oil cap and last one back to the airbox.

Now, both are about the same size. 6" long and roughly 3" in diameter. This is a pain in the ass for fitting cos we don't have so much of free space around to fit this big bottle in. Both are not openable and is empty inside hence a pain to maintain. We can't put anything in there to improve on the condensation properties of the tank.

Price: FS's one including installation will cost about 100+ while the one at Wingyap will cost about 70.

To me, both are not optimal for our problem hence another solution would be to custom one at seng kwang but i guess this will be quite expensive. This however will solve the spacing issue since we can specify any size that we want that is suitable for our bike.

Last option we have is some of the catch tanks i've found in ebay. They are of about the same size as the ones readily available here. But good thing is that it has a cap which is openable hence much easier to customize if we need to. I believe the material and workmanship of the tanks are better as well. But these range from about 50+ to 70 just for the tank and excludes installation.

Whats your take on the above choices guy??

Thanks for the effort! Hmmm... quite a dilemma! You got the link to the eBay oil catch tank?

Another option is to sound out Seng Kwang to see roughly what's the price... and if got better price if we order a few instead of one.

Well, i'll be the experiment then.... but since it works on pcvs then it should work on ours as well since ours is also a pcv. but i dropped him a message so i'll wait for his reply.

Was thinking also, with the amount of oil that I'm losing, the transparent container looks rather small, so will there be a need to empty very often?

Unless the black box thing can actually help prevent oil from passing or something... hmmm

Jialat, my Burg-er suddenly went 'siao' crazy.... the idling keep dropping periodically and engine like want to die off.... checked a few things but nothing seems to be wrong. :weep:

Interim solution: I've raised the idling by 200~300 rpms, hopefully that will resolve the problem for now....
